365 Days of Bliss – Crafting with Kids
Happy Monday, everyone!!! It can not be a surprise that I, Rebecca aka mamabee, have a soft spot for kids crafts. I love doing tutorials on paper crafts you can do with your kids and I also love creating little learning games for the kiddos. My son, who is four, loves crafting, too. He has been “helping” me before he could walk. He started out with crayons and playdough and has graduated up to using kids scissors, mama’s paper punches, and gluing lots of cool stuff. In fact, when you see one of my hybrid posts in the galleries, you can be assured that J was sitting right next to me working on his masterpieces.

So what does J have in his crafting box? Note: Please craft together… and if you have a kiddo who likes to lick things, you might want to watch small items that could be mistaken for food. 😉
- Kid’s safe scissors
- White glue and glue sticks
- Glitter glue – not sure why they call it “glue” it doesn’t stick… lol!
- Fun 3D elements – feathers, googlie eyes, rhinestones, yarn and ribbon pieces, and felt shapes
- Stickers – paper and foam stickers
- Scrap papers – from my paper scrapping days
- Crayons, Markers, Paints
- Stamps and Stamp pad – also from my paper scrapping days
- Pictures and letters cut out of magazines
- Punches – borrowed from me, the squeezed handled ones works best for J
Even with all the cool supplies, he still prefers to draw letters most of the time… lol! So most of the time we have planned art time where we do a particular project. Here are a few of my favorite web sites I like to go to for kid crafts.
And of course, I can’t leave out my Pinterest board on the subject 🙂 http://pinterest.com/mamabee/kid-crafts/
I hope you are inspired to craft with your kiddos… and if you already, what are your favorite websites to get ideas or favorite materials to craft with?
And before I go… it’s time for the Layout of the Week!! Geez, you do not make this easy do you? So much talent at Sweet Shoppe Designs… it really is a tough decision. This week’s Layout of the Week is “From this Day Forward” by Nonna2Dreja. Just a stunning layout… beautiful blending and with the scatter in the clusters. I sure hope that this layout is printed and framed!
Sheila, Congrats!!! You will hear from me soon with your coupon code.
