Sweet Shoppe Saturday 3/10
Hey Hey Sweet Shoppers! Another week has passed, and that means your favorite day of the week is here! Tonight I have lots to show off to you and babble about, so let’s get right to it with your first look at this week’s sweet new stuff from our amazing Designers and inspiring Babes…
There is soo much yummy stuff this week and I just can’t get enough of seeing what our Babes do with it. Our Babes aren’t the only ones making yummy stuff either – have you looked at the gallery lately? Well, I’m super excited to share that a few of the designers are going to be helping me pin standouts to our pinboards at Pinterest from now on, so be sure to check those out to see whose gorgeous pages and hybrid projects we’re lovin’ this week!
Speaking of Pinterest, all of this month’s challenges have been posted now, and there is some wonderful inspiration there which we can’t wait to see you turn into layouts for this month’s portfolio. As of this morning, I adjusted some of the point values to make it even easier to get to 30 points and earn 40% off during next month’s Sweet Rewards week. Now, as you guys know, we recently finished our designer call and were absolutely blown away by the talent that applied! For the first time in a very long time, I’ve invited 6 designers to join our team, and they are absolutely fabulous! We could have easily taken 12 or 13 girls this time around, and I know you would have loved every single one of them! That said, I had to draw the line somewhere, and we are so excited by the incoming diversity and flavor of our newest designers! We’ve been working with them behind the scenes all week long and I can’t wait for you guys to meet them. They’ll be officially announced on March 31st and their stores will open in a special Easter Weekend-long event starting April 6th! We’ll have some teasers and surprises for you in the meantime though, so stay tuned!
Finally, with the excitement of sharing some news on our newest designers, I also have some bittersweet news to share too in that Dani and Lauren will be leaving SSD on the 15th of this month. Dani will be focusing on her brand at DesignByDani.com and Lauren will be popping up in a new store soon – so look for them both in the future. I told the girls earlier this week that sometimes life puts a fork in the road and you just have to follow your heart on which path to take. We are going to miss them soo much, but these girls have been part of the Sweet Shoppe family for years, and nothing will change that in our hearts. Their scoops and dips will be retiring on the 15th too, so you may want to grab them before they’re gone for good. We wish them both nothing but success and happiness wherever the road of life takes them!
