Office Spaces!

Hi everyone! Kristin here today. For my blog post I thought it would be fun to share some of the office spaces we have in our homes! As most of you know the majority of designers and babes are stay at home moms and so we work from home with kids underfoot. This can be challenging sometimes but having a place to work and call our own is great.

In my home I work in our living room. I have a corner desk with my computer. It is VERY undecorated and I keep meaning to do stuff. I look through pinterest (probably more than I should) at different spaces and I hope to one day update mine to fit my personality a little bit more. So here is the boring space.. hopefully one day I can make an updated post with a cuter space!

Next up is Jenn Barrette’s space – which totally matches her design personality! I LOVE the banner!

Our boss lady Robin- how pretty is her space? I sometimes would LOVE to have the convenience of working from a laptop but I don’t know if I would be all that productive (I have a hard time as it is!)

Julie -yet another fellow mac lover! Her space reminds me of mine – I love that she has a calendar with the breed of dog they just got!

Mari K’s space reminds me of her design style also! I LOVE her lamp and that summer banner she made that sits above the computer is awesome! Yet another mac lover. haha!

Tracy and Laura both have similar setups! Comfy place to sit and laptop in hand – nice!

(if you notice the picture laura is scrapping was taken where laura is sitting scrapping – how cute is that?)

Lydia’s space and here is what she has to say about it!
“This is my desk. I love it. When I’m sitting there, the kitchen is at my back and to the left, and the great room is to the right. It makes it really easy for me to stop and scrap or check email or whatever and still keep an eye on what the kids are up to. It’s always a little cluttered, but my piles are organized. At night after the kids are in bed, I always move to the couch and watch my shows while I scrap. ”

Rebecca’s space is quite similar to Lydia’s! I actually had to do a double take when sorting all the pictures!

Here is what she has to say about her space:
Here is my desk area… like Lydia, it’s in the main part of the house… Kitchen and dining area is behind me, Living room is to the left. This is a newish spot for me… for a long time I was at the sofa or on my bed scrapping while watching tv… but I find I do a lot less scrapping and too much tv watching… haha. Also Jake likes that I’m more central located and closer to his favorite spot in the house – the kitchen. haha

Cindy has a great little space too!

It is in the basement where we also have a tv (with a wii) for the kids to watch/play if they are down there, or play with toys etc. They also have a computer desk similar to mine in another area of the basement, so they can use the computer as well, or sit at the desk and draw or color, do crafts etc. My DHs desk with computer is right beside mine (to the left). When I’m not working at the desktop, I’m on the laptop upstairs in front of the TV lol.

Here is ru’s space! She looks really organized, I love the little flower pot <3

Last but not least is Jacinda! Check out her space!! Her husband custom made all her shelving for her – what a great guy!

Here’s my study/craft room, and no it is not usually this clean. LOL. We have a 5 bedroom house, but only need 4 bedrooms, so one became my study. One wall has a huge custom made shelving unit that my husband built for all our craft items and my paper scrap supplies( which are all gathering dust now that I’ve gone digital). The desk takes up two walls, and the door and an in-built wardrobe are on the 4th wall that you can’t see. My computer is in the far right corner closest to the window, so lots of natural light. The kids use the computer on the left, and we have a laptop (currently out of commission) by the 3rd chair. The kids use the craft room a lot, so it’s in a constant state of disaster more often than not. The study is upstairs, and the windows face the front of the house, so I can see the kids playing in the neighbours yard when I’m scrapping.

I  hoped you liked this little glimpse into where we sit when we are capturing our memories or working on new products!

How fun to see where everyone scraps/works! I’m going to show my husband Jacinda’s space as I have my own office now and that is exactly the kind of wrap around desk we need.
