Good morning sweeties! Each day this week I have realized more and more that our summer is coming to a close. Every year at this time of year I have mixed feelings. First, I really am excited to get back to a normal routine, with a little less chaos of the kids all home all day. On the other hand, my heart breaks a little to see them growing up, and I don’t want to let them go. I love shopping for school supplies and new school clothes (usually I can’t stand not getting a little something new for myself as well)! Also, it seems once I open my wallet, the money just flies right out when they are in school. All in all though, I love the end of summer. We are able to relax a bit, and fit in some of the things we wanted to do. We are still sleeping in, and savoring our last lazy days. A few ways that I am letting go at the end of this summer are:

1. Allowing movie marathons… that may sound bad, but they love it. I love being able to relax together and just be, without running around trying to entertain.

2. Busting boredom… around here if a child says they are bored, they immediately get something to do, like folding a load of wash!

3. Laughing… sometimes in the structure of everyday life, it seems hard to let go and be silly and laugh!

4. Summer nights… I keep telling myself I need to start putting the kids to bed earlier so we are ready for school, but I love our nights together. I love watching them play outside, and enjoy life as a kid. I love seeing them work together to feed all of the animals. I love when neighbors stop by to chat, and stay until the sun is long gone.

5. Relax… I am honestly trying to relax, and enjoy life as it happens. Too soon they will be grown, then gone. I am in love with just the way things are, so I am savoring these moments.

Hope your summer continues to be great!

♥ Just a small glimpse into a simple moment with my 3 ladies! ♥
