4 in ’14 – Krystal Hartley
Another Featured Designer Friday is here Sweet Shoppers, and this week we’re bringing you part two of Krystal Hartley’s fun and flirty 4 in ’14 spotlight which is going to give you a taste of some of her favorite new things, a peek at her travel wish list and MORE! I have been loving the chance to get to know our designers a little better through words and pictures, and I hope you have been enjoying it, too! 1 – I have a hard time smiling at the camera, but I was able to get a fairly natural smile in this and ended up loving it. 2- I just thought it was really cool how the camera and the sun pulled off these really vibrant colors. 3 – Trying to pull of a sexy Clark Kent / Superman knockoff, but I ended up with something a bit silly. 4- Selfie I took for Michael one day when we were texting. He loves me in polka dots.
1-These boots! OMG! I bought them in black and brown, and I wear them all the time. They are super comfy and look fabulous. I’m always complimented by random people. 🙂 2- Reversible and portable backdrop for taking selfies. I love that I can block out some of the distracting background since I’m using the front camera on my phone and don’t have ability to manually focus it how I’d like. 3- My Younique 3D Fiber Lashes mascara is amazeballs. It creates so much drama. Love love. 4- After going back and forth on whether or not to drop a couple of hundred dollars on some popular headphones, I stumbled on these for just $70 with equal or better reviews. I just really love full sound when I’m listening to my carefully curated music collection.
I’m a huge music junkie. I browse the new releases on iTunes every week and listen to all the new stuff. I listen to all the tracks of albums from artists I know I like, and I try new artists all the time. I pick and choose my favorite selections based on that experience, and I’d estimate that less than 30% of my favorites end up in mainstream. 1-I rarely purchase full albums, but this Duality album by Set It Off is amazing. I have played it on repeat quite a lot since its acquisition. 2- Ed Sheeran’s “Kiss Me” is probably my favorite sexy song right now. 3 – Austin Mahone’s “What about Love” single. Ugh! Guilty pleasure right here. 4- With well over 1000 plays, Dev’s “Bass Down Low” is my most played track.
Traditionally, I’m not a big traveler, but I think that has had a lot to do with convenience, timing, and budget. In this stage of life, however, Michael and I are enjoying the idea of and beginning to play more travel. 1- England, especially London sounds really fun to me. I’ll have to visit the famous Jane Austen cities, of course. 2- Hawaii is definitely a place I’m eager to visit. I’m not really a fan of Texas beaches, but the beautifully clear waters, gorgeous landscapes and tropical breezes sounds so wonderful. 3- I have Irish roots and have wanted to visit for as long as I can remember. Like most of the places that interest me, I’m fascinated by the history and beauty. 4- Who doesn’t want to visit Italy? I’ve read so much about it. I want to see the epic cities, amazing artistry and gorgeous countryside.
