Happy October to you! This year has just flown by, and we only have a few months left of 2009. It seems like just yesterday we were talking about New Year's resolutions & what we had planned for 2009 - now we are getting ready for the holidays and end of year things! This time of year offers many memory making opportunities with family and friends. Here at SSD, we want to make sure that you're inspired throughout the upcoming season, and we know our newest Treat of the Month will do just that!

Do you have a favorite scrapper who makes you say "wow!" when you visit their gallery? Well, that is how we feel about our newest Treat of the Month! Rebecca Bonneville, also known in the digi-community as BeccaBoo, lives in Illinois with her husband and three kids. She has only been scrapping since February of 2008 and uses Photoshop CS3 to create her pages and edit her photos taken with her Canon Rebel XSi.

Becca's gallery is filled with such wonderful and creative layouts, each highlighting a particular moment in her family's life. When our team spent time browsing her gallery, it was easy to note her talent for masterfully combining several different elements to create some of the most unique element clusters out there. While sometimes having too many things on a layout can be a bit distracting, Becca is able to maintain the perfect balance of elements so that you can clearly see her gorgeous photos & the memories she's scrapping about. For those of you in need of inspiration for page titles, be sure to look closely at Becca's layouts. She is a master at using a variety of alphas and brushes to create some of the coolest page titles you'll come across. We hope you'll find lots of ideas to create new pages after spending a few minutes (or hours) in Becca's gallery and that you enjoy reading a little bit more about her in our interview below.

Sweet Shoppe Designs: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family.

Rebecca Bonneville: I am 34 years old and live in Southern Illinois. My husband, Phillip, and I have three kiddos. Austin-12, Ethan-5, and Savannah-2. I was a born and raised Army brat, growing up in different parts of the world and the US. Before becoming a SAHM, I was a correctional officer at a female prison for the State of Illinois for about 8 years. Now I stay at home with my kiddos and have my own business (Graffiti Chicks). Besides being addicted to scrapping, I love Hell's Kitchen, watching movies, baking, cooking, reading, and just having a good laugh with friends.

SSD: What's your scrapping story? How did you begin?

RB: I discovered digital scrapbooking around February 2008 with the help of my good friend Sarah Cornish (my3hens) and was fascinated by it! Sweet Shoppe Designs was where I started my journey into digital scrapbooking. I found the shoppe and before too long made my way into the community. I was honored to become a member of several SSD teams and really learned more about the craft. I have been totally addicted to digital scrapbooking ever since.

SSD: What's your favorite thing about digital scrapbooking?

RB: What I love about digital scrapbooking is being able to create memories for my family while having a wonderful creative outlet that doesn't require a lot of space or make a mess.

SSD: Do you have any tips for scrappers on the best way to record their favorite events and memories?

RB: I think when recording big events, it is great to capture the essence of the event. Capture the smiles, the laughter, the tears.. Add in the things that are unique to that event, like a snapshot of the birthday cake, the empty tables after the wedding reception, a picture of your plane tickets for that fabulous once in a lifetime trip or honeymoon. Then don't forget the journaling and date to mark the event.

SSD: Tell us about your scrapping environment. What's your workspace like, do you listen to music, watch tv?

RB: My workspace is a bit chaotic! LOL! I keep lots of notes, papers, etc all over my desk. I love to pull my blog up and listen to the music player there while I work.

SSD: Do you print your layouts or have them bound to show friends and family?

RB: Sadly, all my layouts are still sitting on my EHD. I always say that I am going to print them but haven't yet. I do want to print some books, I just need to get it in gear.

SSD: If you could choose one scrapper to scrap a page for you, who would you choose and why?

RB: Oh wow that is a hard one! I would definitely have to say my bestie Sara Gleason (scarletsierra). I just adore her style and would love to have anything made by her. And because I don't know how to follow rules exactly, I also have to say my wonderful friend Sarah Cornish (my3hens). I am always amazed by her pages and just love the whimsical feel she gives to her creations!

SSD: What's your all-time favorite layout? Why?

RB: I definitely have to say Our Song. This page is about my wedding day and my love for my husband. It has such a special meaning to me that it will always be my favorite!

SSD: How would you describe your scrapbooking style? Do you have a favorite "go to element/brush" that you find yourself using on your layouts from time to time?

RB: I am not sure if I have a style... I do love to cluster and can get carried away with it. LOL! I love a great brush! A great brush can add something special to the page. I have totally fallen in love with Penny Springmann's new Bubble Wrap brushes. Another must have is stitching.. I love stitching from Traci Reed, Dani Mogstad, K Studio, and Syrin.

SSD: Your photos are gorgeous - do you use any photo actions to fix or enhance them? If not, do you have any quick tips on how to make our photos look better?

RB: I do a lot of my own photo editing. I love playing with the curves and levels. I also have recently started using the fabulous actions by Sarah Cornish at My Four Hens Photography. They are amazing and really help give photos that special something.

SSD: On a personal note, what do you like to do when you aren't scrapping?

RB: I love spending time with my family... playing Rock Band 2 or just hanging out. I also love chatting with my friends and getting sucked into the evil we call Facebook.

SSD: If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring one designer's products with you, whose would you choose and why?

RB: Oh boy, just one again.. lol... I definitely would have to bring some Zoe Pearn goodness with me. I just fall in love with all her papers... then I would have to sneak some of Penny Springmann's brushes.. I LOVE LOVE her new bubble wrap brushes.

SSD: Do you have a favorite snack you keep handy while you scrap?

RB: I can usually be found with a Diet Dr. Pepper and either some Oreos or Buffalo Pringles.

Sweet Shoppe Designs also asked Becca to share some of her favorite creations with our visitors. It's fascinating to look through someone's gallery with our own eyes but seeing what an artist particularly enjoys from her own collection is always intriguing...

If you would like to see more of Becca's wonderful layouts, be sure to visit her DigiShopTalk Gallery where you'll find her amazing collection of inspiring pages. It's been such a pleasure to see the fabulous layouts our SugarBabes have created after spending some time looking through her gallery, and you'll be able to take a closer look at their gorgeous pages each time you visit as they'll be featured throughout the month on our homepage!

Finally, don't forget to Scrap with our SugarBabes the entire month of October by picking out a layout you want to lift from Becca's gallery! Once you're done, be sure to post in our special challenge thread for the first of the month so you earn points toward Sweet Rewards, and don't miss our monthly TOTM quiz for your chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the shoppe! Thanks for sharing yourself and your beautiful work with us Becca, it was such a treat getting to know one of our favorite scrappers better!
