Hi everyone! It’s Dana here – and I thought I’d talk a little bit today about planning for house guests \ud83d\ude42 The holidays are approaching – and that means a house full of friends and family! I really want to make this year fun for everyone, including the kids that will be staying with us, so I have been trying to come up with ways to keep people entertained. Here are a few of my ideas – and I’d love to hear yours too! Comment below if you have any fun suggestions for me \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
A Local Activity List<\/strong> Board Games and Puzzle<\/strong> Photo Booth and Props<\/strong> Arts and Crafts Station<\/strong> I think (and hope!) that all these things will keep us busy and active this holiday! \nI’m researching some of the local holiday activities ahead of time and creating a little list with all the different options included. That way, we can take a look at the list each day and make quick decisions based on how we are feeling, what the weather is, etc. Some of the activities I am planning to include are ZooLights, Polar Express Train Ride, Sledding, Bowling, Laser Tag, IMAX movie …<\/p>\n
\nI’m going to get a lot of our board games out of the closet and have them easily accessible by the kitchen table. I’ve also bought a large puzzle that I’m going to put out in the Living Room for people to work on a little bit at a time. I’ve also got some “Would You Rather” cards that I’m going to set out.<\/p>\n
\nI am also planning to set up a little photo booth area – with a background made out of some festive fabric and a basket full of props. I figure if it is all out then people will take pictures though out the week when they walk by that area of the house.<\/p>\n
\nI’m going to set up an arts and crafts area – both for the kids and the adults. I’m going to include some fun coloring books and markers for the kids as well as some felt wreath supplies for my sisters and me \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
