{"id":12773,"date":"2012-05-03T01:25:17","date_gmt":"2012-05-03T05:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/?p=12773"},"modified":"2012-04-30T13:26:02","modified_gmt":"2012-04-30T17:26:02","slug":"chocolate-delight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/index.php\/2012\/05\/chocolate-delight\/","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Delight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi guys, Erica here bringing you more treats!\u00a0 So, I have a horrible cold at the moment and have not really been in the mood for food but I saw this photo while looking through some of my older files and thought &#8220;Ooooh, I wish there was some of that in the fridge right now.&#8221;\u00a0 Apparently I last made this in 2009&#8230;yikes, I need to get better soon so I can fix that!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Growing up this was a staple dessert at all family get togethers.\u00a0 Either my grandma or my mom would make it and it was always gobbled up&#8230;oh, how we loved this stuff.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t always think to make it nowadays because it takes a little planning ahead (with chilling times) and I am an instant gratification kind of dessert eater.\u00a0 So, since I had a photo and it made me hungry I thought I better share this recipe today!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pudding-bars.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12778\" title=\"pudding bars\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pudding-bars.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pudding-bars.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.sweetshoppedesigns.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pudding-bars-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chocolate Delight <\/strong>aka Layered Pudding Bars<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Crust:<\/p>\n<p>1 stick butter, slightly softened<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/4 cups flour<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup pecans<\/p>\n<p>Combine ingredients and press into the bottom of your pan.\u00a0 Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.\u00a0 Let Cool a bit.\u00a0 (The only part I can&#8217;t remember is whether it&#8217;s a cookie sheet or a 13&#215;9 pan&#8230;yikes, sorry!\u00a0 I think I tried a cookie sheet last time &amp; ended up doubling the crust recipe to make it work &#8211; but I like a lot of crust.\u00a0 I will be trying a 13&#215;9 pan next time.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Layer 2:<\/p>\n<p>8 oz. package cream cheese, softened<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 package of cool whip (12 oz.container)<\/p>\n<p>1 cup powdered sugar<\/p>\n<p>Beat ingredients together until well combined.\u00a0 Spread on top of crust and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Layer 3:<\/p>\n<p>1 large package chocolate pudding<\/p>\n<p>milk<\/p>\n<p>Make pudding according to package directions.\u00a0 If you plan on this dessert disappearing within a day, instant pudding is fine&#8230;if you think you will have leftovers, use the pudding you have to cook on the stove top.\u00a0 (The instant pudding gets &#8220;watery&#8221;
