This is it…the day we’ve been waiting for… College Color Day. \u00a0If you aren’t a college football fan then you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. \u00a0College Color Day marks the kick off of the football season. \u00a0It’s the day where you flaunt your team’s colors.<\/p>\n

At our house we are HUGE college football fans. We actually started the count down to game day last weekend with a pub crawl hosted by the local chapter of the UF alumni association. \u00a0So fun! \u00a0Every Saturday we gather around the TV and not only watch our favorite team (Go University of Florida Gators!) but my husband will watch any and every<\/strong> game that looks the least bit interesting all. day. long. \u00a0Our 10 year old daughter, Hannah, is right there by his side asking a million question about the games. The two of them have a special dance they do each time our team scores. They’ve been doing this since she was one. \u00a0 Since the two of them barely leave the couch all day I make “game day food” every Saturday. \u00a0Our favorites are oven baked chicken wings, fresh veggies and french onion dip, potstickers, and when it gets cooler Velvetta, Rotel and Sausage cheese dip. \u00a0 Every Saturday is a fun day together cheering for our favorite team(s). \u00a0(My favorite part is the inevitable nap on the couch some time during the day!) \u00a0It’s a great tradition and when we are lucky enough to get tickets to an actual game that makes it even more fun!!!<\/p>\n
