Good morning Sweet Shoppers. Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and recovered from DSD last week! I unfortunately missed all the fun and excitement of DSD this year because we were away (must remember in future to check upcoming scrapping holidays when booking vacations!). We spent a week in Disneyland in Paris for the Halloween break from school.<\/p>\n

We didn’t tell the kids we were going before we went, all they knew was that we were going to France (although that meant little to them too!). They didn’t realise where we were, until we arrived at our hotel in Disneyland! Then the excitement started. We were there once before, over 18 months ago, but they were both very young. This time they really appreciated everything more – they knew who all the characters were and were able to go on most of the rides. We loved seeing everything decorated for Halloween, with giant pumpkins everywhere. It’s also the 20th anniversary year of Disneyland in Paris, so we got to see the spectacular “Disney Dreams” show each night too.<\/p>\n

The weather was pretty bad, with heavy rain most days, but it wasn’t enough to stop us! And of course, school break meant that it was extremely busy, with long wait times for all the rides, but the kids didn’t seem to mind too much, they were so overwhelmed with everything. Their favourite ride (that we had to queue for many times!) was Big Thunder Mountain. I think part of the fun for them was that their dad was terrified and screamed every time, which they found hilarious! And of course, their favourite part of the trip was meeting all of their favourite characters. Everyone we met was really great to them, spent a lot of time interacting with them and posed for lots of photos. We were all (us included, not just the kids, lol) very sad to have to come home. And the kids are already talking about going again, and planning to save!<\/p>\n
