SugarBabe Steph is grateful for new friends.<\/h2>\n

This year I am reminded of the Girl Scout song I learned way back when and am thankful for making new friends and still keeping the old.<\/p>\n

I found that it’s not easy making friends as an adult. My life pretty much is so involved with the girls that my friendships slide. I can go weeks without talking to some of my very old and dear friends. Sure, Facebook has helped keep tabs on them, but it just isn’t the same. We are all in different points in our life, so it can be hard to relate to one another.<\/p>\n

And really, I missed having friends.<\/p>\n

I’ve made some new friends through the girls’ school. We spent a weekend together at a waterpark in the Dells back in February, and well, the rest is history.<\/p>\n

These ladies have become some of my very good friends; friends that I love and cherish. We’ve had some really crazy times together and have created some pretty dang funny memories.<\/p>\n

And it goes beyond the ladies. Our husbands get along and our children get along fabulously with no drama. {If you have girls, you’d totally understand!}<\/p>\n

It wasn’t easy. It took putting myself out there and some great conversations, a weekend away, and a few beers to get us together, but I am happy that we are together. They make me happy and bring out parts of me that were lost for a little while.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
