Another Featured Designer Friday is here Sweet Shoppers, and this week we\u2019re bringing you part two of Amber Shaw\u2019s fun 4 in \u201914 spotlight which is going to give you some insight into her favorite layouts, gluten free recipes and MORE! It’s not often that I shoot a selfie, I am still not where I am totally comfy with me in pictures.<\/p>\n

Me right before heading to a wedding July 2014<\/p>\n

Me this past winter on a date night with hubby<\/p>\n

Me and my flip flops the other day: I do NOT like to drive, you will find me in the passenger seat whenever possible, even if it requires me throwing a fit, feet propped up and enjoying the ride — in flip flops if I can help it!<\/p>\n

Last October, we found out our daughter had Celiac Disease. \u00a0Though I felt we always ate very healthy, it drastically changed the way we eat. \u00a0We eat even healthier now making nearly everything from scratch, and these are some of our favorite Gluten Free dishes.<\/p>\n

Soups:<\/b> \u00a0We LOVE soups. \u00a0We will eat them as soon as the weather cools down. \u00a0I either make them in the crockpot or we cook them over an open fire.<\/p>\n

Chicken Enchiladas:<\/b> \u00a0by switching from flour to corn tortillas, we love to make the “Suiza” version of enchiladas. \u00a0A creamy chicken filling, cream sauce, cheese, and salsa verde. \u00a0It’s in our weekly rotation.<\/p>\n

Skillet Cookies:<\/b> \u00a0We have these lovely little mini cast iron skillets and it’s not uncommon for these guys to beg me to make skillet cookies. \u00a0I was so glad when I found a gluten free recipe that was just as delicious as a “regular” cookie!<\/p>\n

Chicken Bruschetta: <\/b>\u00a0BCD aka Before Celiac Disease… we use to love to eat fresh bruschetta with a piping hot loaf of french bread (and a bottle of wine for me!) \u00a0Instead we now will grill chicken breasts and drown them in a bruschetta mixture with fresh mozzarella and have a salad with it.<\/p>\n

Some people in digiland have probably heard me fuss and groan about how much I miss Florida. \u00a0We lived there for 11 years and now we are in Indiana. \u00a0There is not a day that goes by that I am not thinking of how or when I can get back there or one of my favorite places that I wish I could just head out to for the day. \u00a0These are just a few of my favorites:<\/p>\n

Clearwater Beach. <\/b>\u00a0It’s Clearwater, and it’s the beach. \u00a0Enough said. \u00a0I love just about everything about this beach. \u00a0You aren’t far from wonderful eateries and shops, or tiki bars but the beach is large enough that you can wander off and feel alone. \u00a0I loved going to Clearwater Beach after dark the best.<\/p>\n

Tarpon Springs: <\/b>\u00a0I LOOOOVE Tarpon Springs. \u00a0It is so nostalgic and lovely and like stepping into a little village in Greece. \u00a0I love to go into all of the shops and stop at Hellas. \u00a0I love their Spanakopita and Saganaki. \u00a0Seriously, I want to be there now!<\/p>\n

The Columbia:<\/b> \u00a0This restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant in Ybor City. \u00a0They create authentic Cuban food (which I equally love as much as Greek food) It use to be the place where local cigar makers would go to in the early days. \u00a0It is adorned with colorful hand-painted tiles and you can purchases hand-painted dishes. \u00a0It’s just beautiful and the atrium is my favorite place for lunch. \u00a0They also make incredible Sangria.<\/p>\n

Caladesi Island: \u00a0<\/b>Also know as Honeymoon Island. \u00a0It is a very remote and secluded beach. \u00a0No shops, just miles and miles of white sand and beautiful sunsets. \u00a0On our first wedding anniversary, my husband drove me to Honeymoon Island and we watched the sunset.<\/p>\n

I do not scrap near as often as I want to. \u00a0But when I do it’s always my family.<\/p>\n

(top left) These are all 4 of my children together, we went to the movies over Christmas. These 4 people are my sole purpose!<\/p>\n

(top right) This is our living room, the hub of the house. \u00a0This is where we have family movie time, or just all lay around and read. \u00a0It’s where we visit with guests and in the winter where the Christmas tree goes. \u00a0It’s my favorite room in the house.<\/p>\n

(bottom left) This is my 9 year old when he was 8 months old. \u00a0I love his cheeks in this photo and it’s always been one of my favorite pages.<\/p>\n

(bottom right) This is me and hubby, my partner in crime and the only one who fully understands my random movie and song quotes. \u00a0We were at the lake a few years back and we wanted to step away from the big group of family so we went for a walk and he took this pic of us. \u00a0He had to crouch down, you can’t see in the picture, but he’s an entire 18″ taller than me. \u00a0I’m 5’2″, I will let you do the math \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
