Hi! SaraL here, with some hybridy ideas to share with you.<\/p>\n

Have you been thinking about breaking out your glue stick, but are not quite sure where to start? Well, I have an easy suggestion for you – which I bet <\/em>you already do when your mojo goes on vacation when planning a layout: Lift some one<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Let me share with you a couple of my hybrid lifts, today.<\/p>\n

The first lift is from a LO by our TOTM, Jaclyn Bernardo<\/a>. Her original LO was called Explore<\/a>, and this is my take on it using papers from Backyard Crawlies<\/a> by Lliella Designs, Swooshy Swoony Sentiments <\/a>from Shawna Clingerman, Libby Weifenbach’s alpha from Berkley McKay <\/a>and DJB Gimme Space <\/a>\u00a0from Darcy Baldwin & Lauren Reid:<\/p>\n

My second example of a lift is of an actual card, made by HybridBabe, Andrea<\/a>. You can see the original here<\/a>, and this is my version, made using With Gratitude<\/a> by Dani, Lauren & Misty:<\/p>\n

Here’s a quick run down on how I did it:<\/p>\n

\nI started just as Andrea described in her blog article last week<\/a>, by creating a new file in Photoshop with the exact dimensions of my\u00a0card blank\u00a0– in my case 15x15cm. I played with the images until I was happy with then and printed them out on a single A4 page.<\/p>\n

After cutting everything out, I chalked the edges with brown and black chalk and then stuck everything in place using\u00a0either a\u00a0glue stick\u00a0or double sided tape.\u00a0\u00a0Next, I\u00a0raided my stock of embellishments, and chose ones I thought would compliment the colour pallet of my card the\u00a0best!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
