Hi!\u00a0 Sara here, with this weeks H4H instalment.<\/p>\n

A month or so ago, there was a thread in the forum where a lots of people were saying how they simply had no clue where to begin to make a card.\u00a0 This got me thinking \u2013 and I decided to make a simple template to help get anyone who\u2019s keen to make their own cards, get started.<\/p>\n

In the thread, one person persistently insisted that she could never<\/em> make a card for herself: Alisa (aka ayaandjudah<\/strong>).\u00a0 So, I asked her if she would like to help play with and test\u00a0the template, and I\u2019m delighted to say she said yes!!\u00a0\u00a0So, this is what I came up with:<\/p>\n

There is essentially only one<\/strong> template, but I\u2019ve turned it, shifted the sentiment about and prepared it for simple printing \u2013 so you\u2019ll find 4 actual files to play with.\u00a0 Each template has 3 layers with a simple white border \u2018built in\u2019 to each to make that layer pop.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0downloaded \u00a0file, you\u2019ll also find a \u2018how-to\u2019 Word document, complete with examples.\u00a0 I warn you, it\u2019s a bit on the long-winded side (sorry!!), but hopefully it will smoothly guide you through to make a nice ‘n simple card of your own.\u00a0 I used the templates to make these examples:<\/p>\n

This\u00a0card was made with A Whimsical Garden<\/a> by Kristin Cronin-Barrow, and take a look at this second example made with The Birds and the Bees<\/a> by Krystal Hartley:<\/p>\n

And how did Alisa find it all?\u00a0 Easy!\u00a0\u00a0 This is her very first card, made for an up & coming celebration:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u2026and just take a look at her second:<\/p>\n

You can see that she was so confident after just her first<\/em> use of the template, that she modified the template to suit her own<\/em> tastes to make her second!\u00a0 I don\u2019t think there\u2019ll be any stopping her now \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Remember, this template set is simply to get you started \u2013 if you\u2019ve never tried to make a card before, think of them as training wheels: have a go, have fun<\/strong>, then go off and do your own thing!<\/p>\n
