Hello, it’s Andrea here again bringing you todays hybrid post.\u00a0 So, it’s November. Christmas is next month! How are your plans coming along?\u00a0 Bought the presents? Wrapped them? All sorted?<\/p>\n

No?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Me neither, I’m only just getting my head around the fact that summer is over.\u00a0 So I was quite pleased that I managed to get at least one present sorted out this week. My cousin Jack is 8, he’s into computer games, soccer and lego and for Christmas we’ll be giving him money but I always like to include somethign with the money for him to unwrap. I hit on the idea of making him a name hanger for his bedroom door.<\/p>\n

I started by creating a digital image of what I wanted the sign to look like. I like to do\u00a0\u00a0this with my hybrid projects because then I can resize everything and only print out what I need, thus saving me ink<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When I was happy with the layout and size I shuffled all the pieces around to fit onto a new document the size of my printer paper\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After printing and cutting I began assembling the pieces onto a piece of chipboard<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I cut the letters to spell Jack’s name from chipboard using my Big Shot die cutting machine and coloured them black with a marker pen<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The last stage was to add brad fasteners to the top and tie through with twine<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I used the Technoboy digital kit\u00a0<\/a>by Fee Jardine<\/p>\n

I hope you’ve been inspired by my project, I’m off to make another 3 of these now for the other kids!<\/p>\n
