National Stress Awareness Day<\/a> falls on the first Wednesday in November. Sponsored by the International Stress Management Association, its purpose is to increase public awareness and help people recognize, manage and reduce stress in their personal and professional lives.<\/p>\n

According to WebMD<\/a>, stress is our body’s physical, mental, and\/or emotional reaction to pressure from a particular situation or event. Common triggers include job, family, health, or financial issues. While not all stress is bad, “if you let your stress spiral on for too long, it can have damaging effects on your physical, mental, and emotional health.”<\/p>\n
