It’s Juli here with a fun Halloween (or really any holiday\/season) gift idea…hybrid decorated mini hand sanitizers.\u00a0 By day I work full time at an insurance company.\u00a0 The department I work in goes out and meets with doctors a lot!\u00a0 So, I when thinking of something fun to give my co-workers as a Halloween giftie the 1 oz hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works were a no brainer.<\/p>\n

Supplies:
\nYour favorite Sweet Shoppe Halloween Kit (you’ll see that I’ve used many!)
\nColored Card stock
\nScore Board and Bone folder (or a ruler and bone folder)
\nWhite printer\/presentation paper
\nColor Printer
\nTape Runner\/double stick tape
\nRibbon
\nCraft Knife
\nScissors and\/or Paper Trimmer
\nFoam Dots<\/p>\n

Let’s get started!
\n1.\u00a0 Lay your 8.5″ x 11″ card stock\u00a0 on your Score Board with the 11″ side up against the top where the measurements are shown.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Score your 8\/5″ x 11″ card stock at 3\/4″, 1 3\/4″, 3″, 4″, 7 1\/4″ and 8 1\/4″.\u00a0 Go back to 5″ and do a light score as a guideline versus a score line.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Place the scored card stock in your paper trimmer so that the 8.5″ side is against the ruler and you are cutting perpendicular to the score lines you created in steps 1 and 2.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Cut the scored card stock every 2 1\/2″, which will create 3 hand sanitizer wraps per piece of card stock.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Lay your cut and scored card stock flat on your work surface so that the 3\/4″ is facing towards you and the last section of paper you scored is facing away from you.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Locate the section just above the 3\/4″.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Place the bottom of your hand sanitizer bottle in the middle of this second section.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Trace around the bottom of the bottle lightly with a pencil.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Use a craft knife to cut out the hole where your hand sanitizer bottle will come through using the lines you created in Step 8 above as your guide.\u00a0 Please make sure you protect your work surface!!!
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Assemble the box by folding on the following lines: 3\/4″, 1 3\/4″, 3″ and 4″.<\/p>\n

11.\u00a0 Place a strip of taper runner or double stick tape on the 3\/4″ panel.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

12.\u00a0 Adhere the 3\/4″ panel to the back of the box by lining up the top fold at the 5″ guide line you created in step 2.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

13.\u00a0 Continue folding the score lines to create your box.\u00a0 Place hand sanitizer inside the box.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

14.\u00a0 Open Photoshop Elements 7.<\/p>\n

15.\u00a0 Select File, New, US Paper, Preset: US Paper, Size: Letter, Width: 8.5 inches, Height: 11 inches, Resolution: 300 pixels\/inch. This is your Print Sheet.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

16.\u00a0 Using the rectangle tool, create the decorations for the front flap of your hand sanitizer box to fit the 2.5″ wide and 2.75″ tall front.\u00a0 I made my outside rectangle 2.25″ x 2.5″.\u00a0 The layered inside rectangles I created are 2″ x 2.25″. I made sure to add a drop shadow to the top layer so that it looks like these papers are layered in real life.<\/p>\n

17.\u00a0 Create a rectangle front for each hand sanitizer wrap and then place any 3-D items separately on the print sheet. Here is what my final print sheet looked like:

18.\u00a0 Print out your print sheet using a color printer and your favorite kind of printer paper.<\/p>\n

19.\u00a0 Using your paper trimmer cut out the rectangles and adhere to the front flap of the hand sanitizer wrap.\u00a0 Cut out the 3-D items using a sharp pair of scissors.<\/p>\n

20.\u00a0 Place the 3-D items on to the wrap front using foam dots to raise the element.
