Hello Sweet Shoppers, and I do mean shoppers. Keely here, and I’m addressing the inevitable. Holiday shopping. Okay I’m sure there are people who avoid it, but most of us deal with it in one way or another. Me, personally, not a fan of shopping, at least not the actual going into bricks and mortar stores. The crowds, lack of selection, too many years working in retail, I’m over it. I’m a bargain shopper too, and I’m convinced I would be even if I didn’t have limited funds. Despite all of this, I actually really enjoy giving gifts. I give them a lot of thought and it makes me feel really good when the recipient is genuinely happy.<\/p>\n

You won’t find me out on Black Friday, but I may do some clicking. I suggest signing up for deal previews from a site like Black-Friday.net<\/a>. I’ve had good luck with Black Friday\/Cyber Monday<\/a> deals at <\/a>Amazon<\/a> too. It seems like every year the bait is arriving earlier and earlier.<\/p>\n

Speaking of earlier….I prefer to buy throughout the year, it saves me from having to come up with ideas and money all at once. Buying little bits here and there isn’t foolproof either so I’ve got a system. Each year I create a planner page, I create it when I do all my annual paperwork, calendar and filing chores. I list all the regular people we buy for. If I come across something wonderful (I have a gift bin too) or have a great gift idea, I log it on my sheet. I can see at a glance what I’ve given in the past and keep track of the budget too. This has made our gift giving a lot easier.<\/p>\n
