Where do you call home?
We live in Ashland City, Tennessee which is about 15 minutes from Nashville.
Tell us a little about your family…
I have been married to my sweet husband, Tod, for 46 years! We have a son and two daughters plus a son-in-law and daughter-in-law. We are also the proud grandparents of seven wonderful grandchildren. Two pups finish our family. 🙂
When did you join Sweet Shoppe Designs & what’s your favorite thing about being a member of the team?
Although I bought kits from SSD as early as 2012, I did not really understand about joining galleries or forums until I was on my first team as a ct artist. I then joined SSD in 2021. I love the friendly atmosphere and how everyone is so kind and helpful. I also love getting to work with so many amazing designers. Being at SSD is truly a dream come true!
Where do you find inspiration for your pages?
The kits and templates I scrap with are definitely the springboard of my layouts. Often my photos or events will inspire me to scrap. I also love to look on Pinterest for ideas and the galleries of other scrappers.
What are your must-have digi-scrap supplies and what kind of gear do you use for scrapping & photography?
Although I can scrap without templates, I prefer to use templates as my foundation to build my layout. Solid colored cardstock with matching patterned papers are a must as are lots of flowers and greenery. I also love mixed media and lots of trinkets and ellies to play with!
What is something we may not know about you?
I grew up as an Army brat. My father was in the Army for 29 years. Most of my childhood was spent between Ft. Knox, Kentucky and Germany. My mother was full-blooded born and raised German. She never spoke German at home but I learned basic German from German friends I would play with as a child, I also took a few years of German in high school. I moved so many times throughout my childhood and in married life. I sure don’t want to move again!
