Where do you call home?

Tell us a little about your family…
I have a large extended family that is now spread all across the US and Eastern Europe, but my immediate circle consists of myself, my husband, our two boys, and a close-knit group of found family members.
When did you join Sweet Shoppe Designs & what’s your favorite thing about being a member of the team?
I joined Sweet Shoppe sometime in 2009, but only reached Babe status about five minutes ago hahaha (in 2025). The most obvious thing I love about SSD is the designers. They are amazing and create the most beautiful resources to work with. But just as importantly, I also love being part of this creative community that lifts each other up, stretches my creative muscles, and pushes me be the best version of my artistic self.
Where do you find inspiration for your pages?
So many places! Sometimes it’s a photo of my children that sparks an idea. Other times it’s a story I just have to tell. So very often I am inspired by an emotion that is just bursting out of me and begging to be worked out on the page. I find tons of inspiration from places like Pinterest, especially color palettes, magazine ads, and quotes. I also find that being in nature centers me and helps my imagination thrive. And, of course, I am constantly inspired by you… my fellow scrapper! I love looking at the Sweet Shoppe gallery and seeing how everyone can interpret one prompt or template or kit in such myriad ways, or finding a page that I would never have thought to scrap, or just floored by how beautifully a page came together. Inspiration is all around us all the time if we open ourselves up to it!
What are your must-have digi-scrap supplies and what kind of gear do you use for scrapping & photography?
After all these years, I feel like I can scrap with a wide variety of items and kit styles, but if I could choose a few must-haves I would say… I like having lots of stuff to layer with. A plethora of elements, flowers, foliage, ephemera, word art. I love anything that I can use to make things messy especially paint, splatter, and scatter! I also adore a wood paper, as well as a monochrome neutral.
I have always been a Photoshop scrapper. As much as I would love to organize my kits in Bridge, I always end up using a basic file hierarchy system in Windows instead. I use FontBase for organizing my zillions of fonts.
When it comes to taking photos I mostly use my iPhone nowadays, but I do have a Canon DSLR when I’m feeling fancy. I do most of my photo editing in Lightroom.
What is something we may not know about you?
I am a cipher, a cipher wrapped in an enigma, and smothered in secret sauce hahaha just kidding. I’m pretty much an open book- one funny fact is that I can wiggle my ears! What else would you like to know about me? Hit me up in the forums and ask away!
