Where do you call home?
I live in Derbyshire, which is middle(ish) in England. It’s a semi-rural village and a very quiet and peaceful area.
Tell us a little about your family…
I was divorced a couple of years ago which was hard. I now live with two adult children (one son, one daughter). I have another daughter who lives with her partner just a few miles away. We currently have just one cat – this is the fewest pets I’ve had in over thirty years!
When did you join Sweet Shoppe Designs & what’s your favorite thing about being a member of the team?
I joined that long ago I can’t remember but according to my profile, I joined August 2010. Becoming a Sugarbabe is unreal and such an honour! I love the designers here and have enjoyed being inspired by the Sugarbabes over the years. Everyone behind the scenes has been so welcoming and helpful. As a customer I’ve always loved the challenges and how they have changed from time to time, staying fresh, inspiring and, well, challenging!
Where do you find inspiration for your pages?
The challenges! I am a challenge focused scrapper and rarely scrap a page if it’s not to meet a challenge. Then it’s a mix of product, photos or stories. One of those three will be what ‘leads’ my page and then everything else fits into place around that.
What are your must-have digi-scrap supplies and what kind of gear do you use for scrapping & photography?
I scrap using Photoshop Elements 2022 and a 17″ HP laptop. Unfortunately, I struggle to take photos now. I suffer with familial tremor (shaky hand syndrome) so most of my photos end up blurry. If I do take photos myself it’s with my aging Samsung phone. I rely on my daughters to keep me supplied! Essential digi-scrap supplies? Is everything too broad of an answer?! Besides templates, I love patterned papers and a good mix of word art which I use to help tell the story.
What is something we may not know about you?
The furthest I’ve lived away from where I was born is eight miles. I’ve never wanted to live anywhere else.
