What’s for lunch?

Hi everyone! This is Jacq bringing you today’s sweet shoppe post. My eldest daughter will be in elementary school next year thus she needs to bring lunch at school. So now I am doing lots of research online on how to prepare easy and appetizing lunch for her, she is a picky eater so making […]

What Was I Thinking?

Hello, my fellow sweet shoppe friends… Rebecca here with today’s post, titled – What Was I Thinking?  hahaha…  When I told my plan to the SSD Babes and Designers (and the reason why I was going to be scarce for a few days)… they all told me I was nuts! Many of you probably remember […]

Getting my workout on

Hi Sweet Shoppers! Today I am going to being you a topic I love to hate. Working out. I hate working out. I dread it. Deep down I wish (well, really not that deep) I wish I had the body type that didn’t have to work out. Working out is hard. It’s not particularity fun. […]

Good morning sweeties! Each day this week I have realized more and more that our summer is coming to a close. Every year at this time of year I have mixed feelings. First, I really am excited to get back to a normal routine, with a little less chaos of the kids all home all […]

Back when we were in school…

Good morning Sweet Shoppers!  In some parts of the world right now school supplies are being bought, hair is being cut and kids are starting to get anxious about the beginning of the school year.  I know here in our house it’s less than 2 weeks away and my son can’t wait to get back […]

We’re doing it!

Homeschooling!!! Oh my goodness, it is for real now. We are officially starting kindergarten with my son Ben at the end of this month! I sent in the letter… the BIG letter stating our intentions to educate our child at home. It’s daunting. It’s empowering. It’s exciting. It’s, honestly, terrifying. There are moments when […]

Becoming Me

Inspired by Traci Reed’s recently released kit, I wanted to share my journey of Becoming Me.  While society doesn’t always embrace speaking up about being proud or showcasing your accomplishments, I’m of the mindset that if we don’t celebrate ourselves, we run the risk that no one else will either.  Like one of the elements […]

Rainy Day Crafts

Hey Sweet Shoppers!   Lizzy here with my first blog post. So I’m sure most of you are enjoying great weather this summer, but since our weather has been pretty awful so far this summer, I’ve been looking for ways to keep the kids entertained on rainy days. We’re heading into our third week of […]

Berry {Yummy} Muffins

I am loving summer vacation, I don’t have to get out of bed early and we don’t have to rush to eat & get out the door to the bus stop!  Which means I can make something besides cereal for breakfast, hooray!  One breakfast favorite around here is berry muffins, the kids all LOVE them […]

Such a Picky Eater

Hey there Sweet Shoppers!  Hope everyone is keeping cool and enjoying the summer! It’s Tronesia here with my first post as a Sugar Babe and hopefully someone can relate to my dilemma.  My only child is 4 years old and is an extremely picky eater. Our family has been trying to eat healthier food and […]

I have a thing for Mason Jars

Hi, my name is Darcy, and I’m a mason jar addict. Maybe it’s my life-long dream of becoming Laura Ingalls Wilder (or maybe I should say my idealized, romantic version of her), maybe it’s my desire to take on a quality of life that is more simple and frugal, and maybe because I needed to […]

A new family favorite: “Me” Night!

Hi Sweeties! It’s Libby again with a fun little idea that our family has implemented this summer.  We like to do a lot of things as a family, but we found ourselves always struggling with who got to choose the movie or game.  Or some of us would want to watch one thing while others […]
