Where do you call home?
Portland, Oregon – weirdo since birth!
Tell us a little about your family…
I live with my very sweet husband, our cats (Squid & Barb), and ancient dog (Lulu). We also have four (very) grown up kids scattered all over. Plus my beloved, favorite child: my son-in-law John.
When did you join Sweet Shoppe Designs & what’s your favorite thing about being a member of the team?
August 2024! I’ve long admired how often Sweet Shoppe Designers work together. It’s such a colorful and vibrant community!
How long have you been designing?
Forever? In one capacity or another, for 20+ years. I opened my first digital scrapbook store in about 2008, though.
What inspires you?
This changes constantly but while preparing to open here, I noticed that over the last couple of years it seems to be my general moods? Outside of that, music, color, some silly name or idea that pops into my heads – anything!
Tell us a little bit about your design process…
I start with a very detailed plan that immediately falls apart so the reality is colors>papers>change colors>papers>elements>change fonts several times>elements>cards
What is something we may not know about you?
I asked a few people in my real life, that know me well, and they all said it’s that I’m nice? So take from that what you will. I was thinking more along the lines of that I’m left-handed or very competitive.
