365 Days of Bliss – December Daily/Journal Your Christmas

Heather here, talking about one of my favorite activities to do in December. Every night after the kiddos are in bed, I download the pictures from the day and I make my December Daily/Journal Your Christmas page. I’m having a lot of fun with it this year since I decided to go hybrid. Last year, I did it digital because I was sooooo pregnant and soooo ready to not be anymore. Asher liked to scare me too by making it really hard to find his heartbeat, so my pages were a lot of journaling about how stressful the non-stress tests were, LOL. We also tore up the flooring in our lower lever and put in new flooring and so I documented that too. It wasn’t really Christmasy but it was fun documenting and journaling all that was going on. I just knew I had to do it again this year. Since I’m not pregnant, it’s been easier to do activities with the kids every day, tho I haven’t really planned anything out. The other day we had this really gorgeous sunrise, so I took some pics of it and did my page that day about it since we didn’t really do anything that day. On Friday I took Moriah to see the Nutcracker Ballet. It was such a fun surprise for her and I just loved spending one on one time with my girly. I’ve done some just regular fun pages similar to A Week In The Life where I just documented the things we did that day. I’ve also done a page about my favorite Christmas song and I plan on doing a page about my favorite Christmas movie and will probably watch it with the kiddos.

I’m really enjoying doing it hybrid this year too. I’ve already realized that I’m going to have to get bigger binder rings because it’s getting so fat with all the accordian flowers I’ve made and the buttons I’ve used. My parents got me a bunch of new die cuts for Christmas this year and they told me that I can have them early since they knew I was going to use them for this album. I forgot how much I LOVE playing with paper and glue. I just told Mark last night that I already need to buy more printer ink LOL. The designers here totally outdid themselves with the Christmas kits this year and so I’m having a blast using different kits for each day. I also so there were several really cute Christmas kits in the GGG sale going on right now. At 50% off, it’s such a great deal for adding more kits to use in your album.

I’ve also been really enjoying seeing the layouts that everyone else in the community is doing. It’s fun to see how different we all approach this project. If you haven’t seen them, take a look at these threads to see them. If you’ve been doing December Daily, we’d love to see your layouts in these threads too.

Week 1

and Week 2

Aren’t they so inspirational? It looks like everyone is having so much fun recording their memories both past and present. I can’t wait to see them all complete. On that note, I’m off to make some memories with my kiddos… but since it’s Monday, it means it’s LOTW day!!!

After browsing the gallery, I must say that it was so hard to choose because the gallery is just sooooo full of gorgeousness… I finally chose this layout by junebug. I love photoless layouts and I just love the message she has to say. Click on the image to leave her some love…
