Hi everybody, hope you are having a great weekend! Because there was no Spin-a-Lift last Sunday, we have decided to double up this Sunday so you can get that extra point! Fellow SugarBabe Libby and I have each chosen a different gallery, both of which are loaded with talent. If you haven’t visited our blog before, here is a quick run down of how Spin-a-Lift works. One of the Sweet Shoppe staff members will choose a gallery that catches their eye and lift one of the layouts in it. However, it is not just a normal lift. You spin the layout…..choose however you want to spin it (90 deg CW, 90 deg CCW or a full 180 deg), lift it, then post your layout in the Sweet Shoppe Gallery (in the Spin a Lift category) to get your sweet rewards points! Easy and fun!
So first off, I will start with Libby’s choice. Libby chose to lift a layout from the gallery of Kris (flipflop) which you can find by clicking HERE. Libby really loves the way that Kris uses white space in all of her pages. She has a way of keeping the focus on her photos which is something that she really admires. The layout Libby chose to lift was “Best Friends“:

Libby spun her layout 90 degrees and added a bigger title as well as a few more embellishments. She was heavily inspired by her colors as well as the single flower in her design. Here is Libby’s lift called “Hold the Phone”

Isn’t it great! I love how bold the layout is, and I always love Libby’s titlework, she’s got such a talent for it! She used the Stand Up and Scrap Kit and a bunch of other wonderful Sweet Shoppe goodies which you can find in the full credits HERE.

The gallery which I chose to lift is Jackie Delfin (purple_colourz). If you take a browse through her gallery, you will agree….she has a whole lot of talent! I love the use of colour in her layouts and her photography is fabulous! The layout I chose to lift is “Not Interested“:

She used Christy’s fabulous new kit “Be My Little Baby“. The things that caught my eye with this layout are the colours and paper patterns, and the circles…..I tend to use them a lot in my layouts! I spun Jackie’s layout 180 degrees, and used Heather Roselli’s fun kit “Be Happy“, resulting in the following layout called “Cheerful“:
