Memory Lane Monday – Dream Big Designs 3/21
It’s Memory Lane Monday, and we’re taking a look back at Dream Big Designs, to see how her style has evolved since she first began designing. But before we begin, here are a few words from Cheri :
“I got starting in Digital Scrapbook Design in 2008. I had my 2nd child and was looking for an easy way to scrapbook my baby books. I took a local class on Photoshop Elements and fell in love! I started collecting freebies, then starting making my own papers and elements. Soon after I found a store and started selling my designs. I love to learn new things/tips and tricks and I am always watching youtube videos, taking classes and trying to find the latest and newest thing to inspire me. My Mom is a watercolor artist and my dad is a Physicist. My mom has taught me to see the beauty in everything and my dad taught me correctness and exactness. Both are used when I design!”
Examples of some of her earlier designs:
And here’s a selection of products currently available in her shoppe:
I love seeing the progression in Cheri’s designs from two-dimensional paper constructed looking elements to the more realistic three-dimensional elements. It’s a great representation of not only how her own style and approach has evolved, but also how the digital scrapbooking industry as a whole has changed. I’m a huge fan of the more realistic elements, yet I often find myself nostalgic for some of those adorable papery images, like those featured in her earlier kits “Lucky Day” and “Harbor Bay”.
Don’t forget that you only have a few days left to pick up Dream Big Designs kit, “Lucky Charm“, while it’s FREE with any $10 Purchase. A new Featured Designer will be announced on Friday, March 25th!

I’m still loving that ‘A charming party’ kit. I still use it from time to time.
