365 Days of Bliss – Girls Weekend Out

Celeste here with another day (or in this case weekend) of bliss to share! This past weekend I left my boys in the capable hands of my husband. I headed up the turnpike to Boston and met up with these ten fabulous ladies…

Here’s the fascinating part. I’ve known these ladies for six years and some of them I’ve never met before. Each and every one of them is a scrapbooker (or used to be.) We all met online and this is our third large meetup in person!  It’s vaguely unsettling to travel and meet up with people that you “talk” to every day and feel like you know so well. In this case, it was absolutely fabulous!  Our weekend was overflowing with side splitting laughter, meaningful conversations, and just joy at the unlikelihood of our meeting.

Seven of us even ran the Freedom Trail Run through Boston on Saturday morning. It poured rain! The experience really helped us bond together though. It is one I’m not soon likely to forget. Here we are on the water taxi back to the hotel at the end of the race. Don’t we look fabulous despite the fact that we were all soaking wet?

That running became quite an excuse for eating! We had a lovely Italian meal in the North End, hit up the Parish Cafe for lunch, and Flour for breakfast.  In between, there were cocktails and limoncello toasts to missing friends. No wonder the scale says I’m a little heavier this morning! We shopped, we walked, we bonded. We created memories that will last until we meet again hopefully sooner rather than later!

If you have online friends, you haven’t meant I’d highly recommend chasing the bliss of meeting them. There is nothing like looking into the eyes of a friend and connecting!
