Every story has a beginning.

A first hello. A first adventure. A first photograph. A first place. A first time trying something new. Some firsts are monumental, while others seem completely ordinary in the moment—but somehow, those are often the moments we remember most.

Firsts & Other Stories, a digital scrapbooking collaboration by Studio Basic and Little Butterfly Wings, is a celebration of beginnings, memories, and all the little moments that shape the stories we tell. Inspired by the charm of vintage ephemera and the beautifully imperfect layers of an art journal, this collection blends nostalgic photography, worn papers, handwritten details, botanical touches, film strips, stitching, paint, labels, stamps, and eclectic mixed-media elements.

The palette brings together deep teal, muted sage and olive, mustard and golden ochre, terracotta and rust, dusty rose, soft blush, warm neutrals, and charcoal, creating an autumnal yet unexpected color story. Rich, earthy tones are softened by faded pinks and punctuated with cool teal for a look that feels both vintage and fresh.

Whether you're documenting a first meeting, first trip, first day, first home, first adventure, first love, a new chapter, or simply a moment you never want to forget, this collection gives you plenty of layers, textures, and storytelling pieces to make those memories your own.

Because sometimes the biggest stories begin with the smallest things.
