Summer Scrap-A-Thon Shoutouts (vol. 2)

Hello again and welcome back to our Summer Scrap-A-Thon Shoutouts!! We’ve got another week of fun challenges under our belts and those beautiful layouts just keep coming! I love the different and creative ideas that are filling up the gallery!!

Let’s hop right in!

SugarBabe Cassie hosted a challenging CRAZY 8’s challenge that required everything on the page to be in increments of 8. Cassie noted that she struggled with the challenge because she’s a “go with the flow” kind of scrapper and doesn’t really go with set limitations. I concur with her because I personally, struggled a bit as well!

Bienejen rocked the challenge!! Even the template she used (Photo Palooza 248) was in an increment of 8!

Jennifer used 8 photos, 24 paper pieces, 8 triangles, 24 stitches, an 8-letter title, 8-character date, 8 foliage pieces, 8 elements (that included 2 buttons / 2-word art / 2 flairs / 1 golf club and 1 golf ball), 16 flowers and 8 lines of journaling! I think she did a GR8 job!

Cinderella’s amazing (!!!) page screams with creativity! To create her outstanding page, she used 8 frames, 8 papers, 8 fairytale characters, 8 fairytale related items, 8 paints, 8 sparkles, 8 star scatters, 8 flowers, 8 pieces of greenery, 8 ribbons, 8 strings and finally 8 pieces of word art.

Moving on the SugarBabe Sherly’s The Game of Life challenge, the requirements are pretty simple, create a journal heavy page that loosely covers the flow of your life. I know sometimes it’s not easy to journal about ourselves or our life journey, but these ladies made the grade!!

Next on the lineup is SugarBabe Mary’s Chutes & Ladders challenge, with the stipulation being to create a layout with a curvy vertical element in addition to placing a vertical “photo strip” on your page. Her challenge is a great example of how different interpretations can work for the same challenge.

The use of the oversized snake element to create the curvy feature on Leablahblah’s page is excellent!!

To achieve vertical curves on her page, Ginette used perfectly placed trim pieces.

Here’s Stephc777‘s take on the fun challenge:

SOOO much creativity!! Seeing the different takes on each challenge is so cool!!!

SugarBabe Esther is hosting the Ticket to Ride challenge, which is pretty straight-forward … to scrap a page with your favorite vacation destination OR your travel bucket list.

I love both LidiaG and bestcee beachy pages, they nailed the challenge perfectly!

ShelbyJ‘s idea of the perfect vacation is one spent with her family – I’d say that’s indeed the perfect get-away!
