Sunday Standouts with Misty

I never ceased to be amazed by the endless creativity of the scrappers at SSD. There are times I will be cruising the gallery and only after admiring a page for awhile come to realize the artist used my designs. Scrappers put our products to so many creative and unique uses! It is a joy to see the beautiful variety of memories being documented in the SSD community. Here are a few of favorites.

I created Sing a Rainbow to scrap about my daughters endless singing. Never did I imagine the same kit would be used to scrap a handsome gentlemen standing lakeside. Nietis did just that wonderfully in her page Huntun.

Kettkel put a paper and ribbon to use to create a subtle mail box flag along the side of the photo in Send It Off in a Letter. Great idea!

I’m pretty sure the Sunday Standouts column is supposed to feature pages from our customers, but I figure the blog is all about inspiration so I’m going to sneak this one in here. I adore Robin’s You Used to Be Little. I miss pages with large photos and Robin pulls it off with a page that is almost as cute as her subject. Note the journaling in the empty space of the photo. I need to do this more.

Scrap a baby with a grungy kit featuring gray and metals? Why not? In the case of Stressed by mommy2boyz it really brings out the emotion of the page.

When it comes to cards, clever phrases and pun are sure winners. Tettletop20’s card, It’s Been Ages, is guaranteed to bring a smile to the recipient.

In Spirited Beautiful, norton94 effectively uses gray and a pop of purple to emphasize her photographs. The clever cropping assures we are looking right into the eyes of her beautiful girl.
