Twos-Day BOOS-Day!!
Happy Halloween everyone! It’s going to be a pretty chill day around here for us, but I wish you all lots of fun and LOTS of goodies. 🙂 This week, I decided to scrap My page about what a party pooper I have become. Back in the teenage years, I was a real party animal..but it seems that now, I am a drag. Before I show My page off..please direct your attention to the designers below..
I chose Robin Carlton & Teresa Ferguson as My TWO designers this week. Robin’s Monster Mash is totally perfect for all your sweet & spooky needs. It’s a dark kit, but the festive little characters brighten this kit up and make it so much fun. It’s actually on SALE right now and it is a must have for your Halloween themed stash!!
I have also been itching to try out one of My gal Teresa Ferguson’s new templates! These Smarties: Volume 1 are so fun and quick and EASY as pie to put together. They’re perfect for the scrapper on the go and even the scrapper who sometimes needs a little nudge to get a page done. I used one of her templates and put a whole new spin on it by shrinking it down a bit and adding/subtracting parts to make it My own. Such a blast to play with!
“Party Pooper by MandaBean”

Journaling: I’m almost positive that I have officially lost My “life of the party” status. Since Julian and I have been together, parties are few & far between. It’s not that we don’t like social events..we just find other ways to entertain ourselves and have become pretty chilled out. This year, for Halloween, we were invited to not one, but TWO costume parties. It’s been a long time, like I said..so we thought it would be fun to buy costumes and dress up for some fun times. I was totally psyched about wearing a costume for the first time in many years, and it was going to be equally exciting to see My husband all dresses up. After way too many hours of shopping online and otherwise, we both decided on costumes and were one step closer to party time. Julian decided to go as a Gynecologist & I was a Playboy bunny. My most anticipated piece of the costume were the black fishnet stockings with a pale pink seam down the back. Julian’s favorite accessory was his very thick, black framed “doctor glasses”. We were excited! Fast forward to a VERY busy weekend. My brother was getting married on Saturday evening, and we had the wedding rehearsal on Friday night. Well..one party was Friday night & the other..on Saturday. We’d make it work..it was going to be too much of a blast not to. Friday night..we’ve been to the wedding rehearsal and are rushing home to change into our cool costumes, in hopes of making it to the first party before all the fun happens. Problem #1 has just occurred. My costume..is very skimpy and it’s cold outside and rainy. I’m completely uncomfortable and my most favorite fishnets are cramping My style. Julian is rushing Me along because we’re 2 hours late already and he’s sure we’re going to miss everything. I make the costume work..and we head off to the party. We’re there..and we pretty much know about 5 people out of what seems like 50. It’s cold..it’s wet, it’s awkward. Worst part of it was, the kids who showed up for a nice mixture of alcohol and obnoxiousness. I don’t remember how many times I said to Myself and others..”I’m too old for this.” Maybe I was feeling this way because I didn’t know many people there..party #2 will be better for sure. Well, Saturday night is upon us and we’re headed off to the second party where we also didn’t know many people, but our good friends were hosting. We’re at the party..it’s totally crowded, larger than party #1. Seems like we’ll have a cool time and enjoy ourselves with our friends that we brought along. We don’t smoke, and I don’t drink..so, to sum it up..I was bored out of My mind. I was again, freezing myself sick and breathing in more cigarette smoke than I ever have in My life when I decided..”I really AM too old for this.” Is that so bad? Needless to say, we left 30 minutes into party #2 and went to grab some munchies and head back to our friends house for a game of Scrabble. That’s right..I’m happier sitting around a table of 4, eating chips and dips and playing a board game, than being the life of the party.

I can totally identify with your Party Pooper layout – I am the same way – much prefer the quieter scene since I hit 23 or so. SO sad – hehe!

I can TOTALLY relate to your comments about the parties. I just don’t enjoy those type of gatherings anymore. I’d much prefer a smaller group of friends. Vert cool the amount of journaling you got on your LO – I need to work on that.

You’re too funny, I know I’m ridiculously late, but didn’t have a chance to stop by yesterday- thanks so much for using the template- I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did with it!!
Totally relate to your Halloween parties too…..I’ve never been the life of the party, but I’m way more comfortable with a few close friends instead these days. 🙂 That happens to us old farts!
