Tripped Out Thursday
Are you ready for a trippy kind of challenge? I hope you’ve finished your tripping about and can settle down to give this one a go! I decided to offer this challenge after I had completed my first ever shadowless layout. I’m a paper-styled digi-scrapper and just can’t help adding shadows to my pages to give them that real feel. Its not that I don’t like shadowless LOs, on the contrary, I have always been fascinated how fabulous they look. So last week I gave myself a challenge to drop the shadows. I was pleasantly surprised that there were no withdrawal symptoms and I quite happily avoided my layer style tab in Photoshop – I didnt even put my mouse near that little tab and, even more surprising, I actually loved the end result – (maybe I’m just a tad biased since its of my littlest sleeping – Im such a sucker for a sleeping child even when they aren’t my own!)
Since Im sure some of you are already comfortable with avoiding the drop shadows I thought Id mix this one up like so: If your a shadows scrapper then try dropping the shadows; On the other hand, if your a shadowless scrapper try adding a few. Is that clear as mud? I think you all get the idea so Ill share my very first ever shadowless digital LO using this inspirational Spumoni Medley by Laura Deacetis ………..
along with Photomats by TracyAnn, Schmootzy frames and alpha by Nancy Rowe Janitz. glitter alpha by Tandika, Pixie dust overlay by Terry Maruca and Monica Larsens magnifying class.
Missing an Angel
Don’t forget to leave a link to your LO in the comments section if you take up this challenge! I think Ill be trying this again very soon!!!
