Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hi everyone! Can you believe the powers-that-be gave me, a brand new Babe, the first post of this awesome feature?? (Truth be told, no one else wanted to be first! Chickens!) I volunteered to go first because I have SO MUCH I’m dying to share with Sweet Shoppe fans. So I’m going to apologize up front, because even though I will try ultra-hard not to ramble, it’s very possible I may do just that!

First and foremost, I want to thank Robin and the rest of the SSD staff for choosing me and the 5 other new Babes to be a part of this amazing community! I discovered Sweet Shoppe Designs soon after discovering digiscrapping, and it was instantly my favorite. I made it a personal goal and challenge to become a SugarBabe, and it’s such a thrill to actually be here! I was on edge the minute after I sent in my application, and even woke up early the day of the decision to check my inbox (I know – supreme dork here). It wasn’t until around lunchtime that I finally got an email entitled “We Think You’re Sweet.” Without even reading the email, I immediately sent a text to my husband and said only “I made it!” He was just as relieved as I was, because he thought that meant I wouldn’t talk about it anymore! Heh – not true! I’m still riding the high, and reminding him everyday how long it has been since I entered Babedom (this is my 12th day)!

Being a part of the SSD staff is even more amazing than I could have imagined! Everyone has made us feel extremely welcome, and has included us right away. We have been working very hard to make the reopening so fabulous, but everyone here makes it so much fun! I never knew until now that you can have an actual party online, complete with brownies! It truly is an extended family, with no one being afraid to be themselves. Uh oh….I think I’m verging on that rambling I promised not to do….

So, I bet ya’ll (I’m a Southern gal!) want to see some layouts! That is what being a Babe is all about, after all. If you’ve been perusing our new and improved gallery, you’ve already seen most of these, but I’ve included one that’s not in the gallery – yet!

As you all know by now, the fabulous Gina Miller is our Treat of the Month for February. What better way to start off our anniversary celebration? She is such an inspiration! I used Teresa Ferguson’s Enjoy the Ride kit for my lift, Stroller Baby.

Since it’s February, and I wanted to use some of the brand-new goodies that are available now, I used Laura Deacetis’ pretty new Sweetheart kit to make a card. I am so happy with the way this came out, that I think I’ll print these out and send them to all my loved ones!

And now for my piece-de-resistance! I challenged myself to do something I’ve never done before – create a two page layout! I used so many SSD goodies in this layout, and had so much fun putting it all together. I think I literally went through all the kits I have (and there are a TON!) and picked my favorites to put on this layout. It’s a little small here, since it’s two pages, so watch for it in the gallery for a closer look (and leave me some love if you like it!). I’ll include the page of credits there.
