Workin’ It: Bean Edition

Hey hey scrapbookers! MandaBean here, stepping in for our fearless leader Robin Carlton for this Workin’ It Wednesday post. I’m a huge slacker as far as this blog goes, so it’s really the least I can do. Let’s dish and have some fun shall we??

First off, let’s take a look at some of My newest additions to the shoppe. On the embellies and alphabet front..some of My latest products have definately become My favorites. Take a look!

Quick Buy: The Alphabet Is…

Now, as far as kits are concerned..these two couldn’t get any cookier. I recently released this adorable little chicken kit called Chick Magnet. I have NO idea how this started out, but I think it’s so cute and the colors are some of My favorites. Also, Robin and I teamed up again to create a kit that any Night Owl can appreciate. Take a look!

So, You’ve seen some products..now how about taking a look at what some of My fabulous team members have done with them?

Jen Jorgensen’s “My Dad is a Cool Dude” is just too cute! To view credits and leave Jen a comment on this layout, click here.

Dixi Goulden’s “Daddy’s Girls” is just the sweetest page and hey..who says Daddy’s can’t be chick magnets huh?? To view credits and leave Dixi a comment on this layout, click here.

I couldn’t resist posting Dixi’s “Sleepless” layout..it’s just so precious and I love her use of all the elements. To view credits and leave Dixi a comment on this layout, click here.

I would love for You guys to take a look at the Bean Team gallery when You have some free time. It’s filled with beautiful, inspirational pages and I’m really proud to have these girls on My team. View the team gallery.

Ok, on to something new! As most of You may be aware of..last year, My Mother was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma, the most common form of breast cancer. It has been a struggle, but I am SO happy to say that as of yesterday..it’s O V E R. What I mean is..she has had her last “surgery”. Yesterday, she went in for an outpatient procedure to have her port removed. The port was installed into her shoulder/chest area just before she started chemo treatments so that they wouldn’t have to stick her everytime she went in.

It was really cute..she came over to My house and she had a little jar with the port inside it..floating in alcohol or some watery solution and she’s like..”I thought You might wanna take a picture of My port!”. Ha! Well, no not really Mama! Gross! It wasn’t yucky, but I just really didn’t wanna take a picture of it. I have a picture of her when it was inside her chest, but that’s all I need really.

Anyway, she’s doing so good now and she’s finally coming to terms with the loss of her breast. Her hair is growing back in so thick and beautiful. It’s salt & pepper..more pepper than salt, but it’s so adorable on her. You want to see a picture don’t You?? Ok!

I took this on Easter, and I think she looks stunning. I’m really proud of her, and I can’t say this enough..but I appreciate all the love and support the community has offered our family throughout this horrible journey. 🙂

I bet You’re wondering when this entry will end right? Well..almost..I just have a couple more little things to share..don’t worry, I’ll leave You a goody at the end to show My appreciation for sticking with Me ’til the end!

So, not many people know this but..for more than a year now, I’ve been designing REAL LIFE scrapbook products for Paper Salon. They contacted Me early last year and I was really excited to start working with them.

To start, I have completed 2 collections that debuted at the Winter 2006 CHA. These collections were My first paper products, so they’re like My little babies. It’s an amazing feeling to touch something that You don’t normally touch and see things that are usually digital..right there in front of You. Feel free to take a look at My Pristine and Rugged collections at the Paper Salon blog.

I also just completed the Summer collection, Sizzle, that includes My first ever tailored stamp tin, so I’m really excited about that!

Right now I am busy working on both Fall & Winter collections, so if You ever wonder what I’m up to, well..that’s it. It’s really exciting, and I cannot wait for these collections to be all over stores and in scrapper’s hands.

The Paper Salon design team is AMAZING. I just have to show You this Mother’s Day card that was created by Stacey Stamitoles using My Pristine collection…

Isn’t that so cute?? They do beautiful work. 🙂

Alrighty, enough of this. I think it’s been 2 hours since I started this entry and well..I need to get busy on other stuff. I do have a little something for You though..a coupon for 30% off ALL MandaBean goodies for the next 2 days! I hope You can get something You like..thanks for reading about My life..have a happy week’s end!
