Sweet Gallery Standouts 5/27/08
Whoa! I know I am a sugar babe for real now cause here I am, posting live on the Sweet Shoppe Blog! Hope everyone is having/had a wonderful Tuesday! I am honored to bring you your sweet gallery standouts tonight. It never ceases to amaze me, the degree of talent and creativity the scrappers here at Sweet Shoppe have. It makes this job very difficult indeed! Our gallery is fully of color, inspiration, ideas, fun, laughter, heart warming stories, special memories. Really they all deserve a spot here because they all stand out in their own way, but unfortunately my job is to pick but just a few, so without further ado, here are my picks for you!
First from our Spin a Lift challenge, I chose AmyM’s layout, WALK BESIDE ME I loved the photo first and foremost, it really drew me in. There is just something contemplative about a photo taken from behind that always gets me. She then got my attention further with the bright colors and textures of her layout, from the background paper to the torn edges to the lines of the brackets.
Next I chose BEING A BOY’S MOM by MelissaL88, from our inspiration challenge. I loved this layout because there is something so special about a mom that will get in there and play with her boys, and even has the pictures to prove it! I love that she took the time to record such a wonderful memory of playing with her boys. The bright colors and her stamped title give it an edgy kind of fun that even boys can appreciate!
Next up we have LOVE YOU by Nikki81 from our Scrapping With the Sugar Babes Challenge. This was my first time hosting a challenge as a sugar babe so this one is near and dear to me. The challenge was to be inspired by an item of clothing and I think Nikki did a fabulous job here, emulating one of her favorite outfits of her baby boy’s. I love the crisp fun colors, and who can resist that little froggy peeking out of the zipper!
and last but certainly not least, we have SNOW PRINCESS by JulieMarie for the Recipe Challenge. This kit of Dani’s that she used is just perfect for her photo. I love the contrast of the hot pink with the shades of grey/black and white. Plus, who can resist that stunning photo? Scrapping perfection at its best here I would say!
