Featured Scrapper – Raji Sriram

Raji Sriram (aka rsk) has an amazing style that is totally unique. I can always pick one of her layouts out of the gallery right away and I always love them! She has a fantastic way of capturing everyday moments and making them meaningful through her journaling.

Here is a little more information on our Featured Scrapper, Raji.

SSDphotoI stumbled upon scrapbooking when I was looking for some photography tips when I was expecting my first dd  – that was in May 2005. I started with Digital Image Pro, graduated to Photoshop Elements and now I have Photoshop CS4. I never thought this hobby would last so long, it is no longer a hobby for me, it is my passion, my creative outlet.

Q: Describe your scrapping environment. Do you listen to music? watch TV? or do you prefer total silence?
I love to listen to music all the time, so of course I must have music to scrap!

Q: Are you a fast scrapper or do you take several hours or days to work on a layout?
I’m a slow scrapper, during the day I hardly get an hour to scrap, so my photoshop is always open, I try to work on a LO when I get time, I usually start a page in the morning and finish it in the night after the kids go to bed.

Q: What are your 3 favorite foods?
Chocolate, pasta and any (hot) Indian snacks

Q: Speaking of favorite foods…if you could have lunch with any SSD designer who would it be and where would you go?
I would love to have lunch with Darcy, I’m not familiar with the restaurants in the U.S, so I’ll leave it to Darcy to pick the place. I’m sure that she’ll suggest something nice (Darcy, I’m not sure if you know that I’m a vegetarian, pick a place and mail me soon, I’ve to take care of visa, tickets etc. 🙂

I also asked Raji to share 3 of her own favorite layouts and tell us what she loves about them…

“I love how this turned out! I’ve been wanting to scrap this photo for a long time, I even attempted a few pages, but they were not satisfactory, when I saw this kit, I knew that I was going to use it for this photo…love how the page conveys a feeling of energy.”
