Featured Scrapper 2/5 – Indah Permata Sari

If you’ve been around digi very long you have undoubtedly noticed this week’s Featured Scrapper’s gallery. Indah’s (inskidahv) gallery is chock full of total eye-candy both digital and hybrid. She has a wonderful unique style that stands out and I absolutely love her use of color in all her projects.

Here’s a little more about Indah:

I have been scrapping for almost 3 years now… I use Photoshop CS2 and have been dabbling in hybrid for 2.5 years.

1. What do you love about hybrid?
I love that I can touch and feel the layers of hybrid scrapbooking. And also how bulky it is. But i also love the fact that I don’t have to work from scratch when it comes to measuring and cutting. I just design it on my graphics program and then break them into layers, print it, cut and then voila! It saves so much time with the same result of paper-scrapbooking/crafting, even better!

2. What basic supplies would someone just beginning hybrid need?
– A good and sharp cutter and scissors
– adhesives: glue, double sided tape, and foam tape
– ruler, preferably the metal ones.
– cutting mat (this is important so that you don’t ruin your table or floor when cutting, and also holds the paper)
– spoon (i know. ‘huh? spoon?’). i could suggest you getting a bone folder, but you can easily substitute this with a cheaper option that you already have at home. It does the same job and you won’t know the difference.

3. What are some of you tricks of the trade in regards to hybrid scrapping?
You can do mistakes and get on with it in hybrid scrapbooking! When you cut your layers a bit wonky or crooked, don’t start over, just cover it up with flowers or a ribbon. And to save money, go rummage your local fabric or dollar store. You can find flowers, ribbon and buttons there with the fraction of the price as you would in a scrapbook store.

4. What colors do you use the most? Why?
Pink! I am just THAT girly! heehee.

I also asked Indah to share 3 of her own favorite projects/layouts and tell us what she loves about them…

I just love the colors and how cute the stamps go with this kit!

I love how the colors complement the picture here, this layout is dear to me because it’s engagement picture layout of my best friend.

I love making packages… and this one doubles as a card too, so convenient and cute!
