Featured Scrapper 9/10 – Janyelle Mayara

Happy Friday, Sweet Shoppers. Our scrapper this week is a Brazillian gal with a great freestyle vibe to her pages. This week we are featuring Janyelle Mayara (janyellemayara).  You can check out her gallery here.

Janyelle is 21 years old and is self proclaimed font junkie! She has over a thousand fonts on her computer and could easily spend money on alphas only.  She uses CS4 & CS5 and is trying to learn how to use Lightroom right now. Janyelle claims that her and Lightroom “are not great friends.”

Here are her 3 favorite layouts:

“I love the style freestyle. Like to use almost everything in the kit, whether the roles of elements and alphas! Love long ribbons, flowers and colors! Put it all together on that page and also announced my favorite style! When I realized that freestyle is not copying anyone, is to create without fear, without guilt, without rules … I figured out how I wanted to scrap! The Scrapper longer obligation to meet deadlines for Creative Teams and became a hobby, my fun … Freestyle love you!”

“There was always a scrapper who inspired me a lot, Ivana, my muse, Brazilian freestyle. I love this page because when I look at it, something reminds me of the style of Ivana, but the page is mine and I did not need a lifter her page to look like you know? Anyway, I am very proud of the result! Moreover, there is something I expressed it that makes me smile! My love for my beloved Bruno. So love this man, is with him I want to marry, have children, live a lifetime … page and expresses this very clearly, not to remain a doubt!”

“This Page is a milestone for me. It came so that our alliances engagement arrived. I wanted to go on record as the choice of symbol of my love and Bruno had happened. I think I was happy with the composition of journaling, which has since our tireless search to analyze the result, in addition to incorporate the results to our superstition or coincidence. Lol”

I also asked Janyelle a few questions about her scrapping space and style!

Q. Describe your scrapping environment

I use a netbook to record some ideas, sketch, most of the things, shadows, etc., I prefer to do most of my work on the computer desk. Almost always organized and sometimes I scratch the comment on a sheet of paper. Next to me, has a home phone and I usually put my cell close by, also has a few USB cables, card readers, memory, CD’s, DVD’s, so I have everything to hand in time to check the photo for the scrap. Sometimes I listen to music.  Scrap is pure fun for me, I hate the rules. lol

Q. What is the most challenging part of scrapping for you?

For me, the most challenging part holds the page. Alphas and I always love to highlight them. Also, I think I’m one of the few scrappers who only chooses to journal after the page is nearly complete. Crazy! lol Usually I go out throwing papers and elements without worrying, kind of playing it. Pure fun! My intention is to use all of the kit, start thinking about the photo and what title thereto, the alphas to be used.

Q. Tell us a little about your scrapping “style” if you have one.

I love the freestyle. I think I figured out how scrapp through play focusing on the alphas. A scrapper who inspired me was the very Ivana, very Brazilian, mega talented! She just bangs on Freestyle! A diva! As I said up above, I always admired the pages of freestyle, then one day I stopped and Said, why can not I create the same? I challenged myself to fill the page of things and maintain harmony! Not that it worked in my mind. I feel that my pages do not equal other artists, after all in the same style each season to your taste, but I’m well satisfied with what I am doing. Some people like, others do not, however, I feel good about the results and with the game I just enjoy myself.

Q. How often do you find time to sit down and scrap?

During the week – I’m busy, I’m scrapper, designer, girlfriend, player one, friend, official census was a student, but found the college of Social Services a few months ago, I’m a lot of stuff, so I try to split my time, the scrap is a passion, rare is the day that does not sit on the PC and not dedicate at least a peek in stores and galleries. Normally, I scrap once or twice a week – more frequently it is higher.
