Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hello Sweet Shoppers, Laurie here wishing you a Happy Monday!! You know what Monday means here at the Sweet Shoppe – Layout of the Week!! What a treat for me to be able to look through the gallery and see how much talent there is!! You all really know how to rock our designer’s fabulous kits!! I’ve always heard the Babes talking about how it’s so difficult to choose just one layout from the hundreds posted throughout the week. I completely relate. I agonized over this decision as there were SO many layouts worthy of the honor!!   In the end, I kept coming back to this one. Without further delay, here is the layout I chose for this week’s LOTW:

As soon as I saw this layout by Lydia (ltarbox) I knew it was something special. I experienced a feeling of longing as I looked at the photo of the World Trade Center towers – wishing that those beauties still graced the New York City skyline. As I read Lydia’s journaling I was so moved and thought about my memories of that fateful day. I love how she included the photo of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, something that played such an important part of her memories of 9/11 and the days that followed.  I love how she used La and Shawna’s gorgeous We’re All Waiting For Something to frame that photo.
