Featured Scrapper 10/1 – Elizabeth Moss

Happy October 1st!! I hope everyone is excited about this month’s Portfolio Prompts and I can’t wait to see all your gorgeous layouts filling up the gallery. This week our Featured Scrapper is Elizabeth Moss (carriesmom). Elizabeth’s gallery is full of bright bold pages which I’m sure will be lots of inspiration for you all.

Elizabeth is the mother of two girls, Carrie who is 3 and Molly who will be 2 in February. She lives in sunny Arizona and has been married to her DH, Jon, for 3 1/2 years. She works as an attorney at her own law firm and besides scrapping, in her spare time, she watches reality TV, ice hockey, and hangs out with the family.

Elizabeth has been scrapping since May 2009 and uses CS4 and organizes in Picasa.

I asked Elizabeth a few questions to get to know her a little better:

What are your 3 favorite foods?

Chicken Parmesan, BBQ Beef Brisket like my mom makes, and any fresh fruit.

What is your favorite SSD Kit and why?

The Reasons Why by Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Meghan Mullens. The colors are so beautiful. I have been really into red and yellow lately. The elements are great for any page. I actually have to consciously not use it for every page!

Why do you scrap?

Oh so many reasons! I scrap for the creative and artistic aspects. My mom was an art teacher so it is in my blood. I scrap to preserve the memories of my family and as an emotional release. If only it burned calories, it would be the perfect hobby!

How often do you find time to sit down and scrap?

My DH helps a lot. He understands that scrapping is important to me so he helps me out. He knows that if he does that I let him play his online games! I sneak time in when my kids are sleeping and I stop and go a lot!

The following are three of Elizabeth’s favorite layouts including the reasons why she loves them:

This one because I love the photos, they are priceless and I adore all the patterned paper, I’m a sucker for a good pattern!

I love scrapping everyday pics of my kids, even on holidays and I was so glad they cooperated. Plus, I love how well this came together. It was for a Speed Scrap!

This page is my daughter personified to a T. She is a tomboy princess through and through and I don’t usually do linear page or multiple photos so this was different for me.
