Happy Saturday Sweet Shoppers! It’s your favorite day of the week, and I have lots to tell you about tonight, so let’s get to it with your first look at this week’s sweet new stuff…
It looks like most of the designers are holding back to bring you a product packed National Scrapbook Day, but there are some yummy treats this week that I am absolutely lovin’ including a slew of adorable bragbooks made from a bunch of Misty’s previous kits. These fantastic little quickpages make super easy gifts, and with Mother’s Day just around the corner, all you need to do is pop in photos, print 4×6 pics, stick ’em in a photo album from the dollar store and gift away – too cute! I’m also lovin’ Jenn’s new kit Whimsicality, Penny’s I Am and Krystal’s Ever After too, and as always we have a bunch of new templates, a fantastic font, and lots, lots more making its debut in the shoppe today, so head there now to save 20% off all day long!
I know I piqued lots of people’s interest last week when I mentioned the changes coming to SSD in May, and I am soo excited to let you know that we’re changing things up just a bit to get more involved with our community and the things we love about it. First up, we’ve decided after 5 years that it’s time to put our Treat of the Month feature to rest so that our Babes can get more involved with inspiring you guys directly by playing along with you in our monthly portfolio! From now on, our home page will feature layouts created by our SugarBabe team that were inspired by one of the prompts from our Scrapper’s Portfolio!
I think you guys are going to love seeing their takes on these fun prompts, and we hope it will give you some ideas on interesting directions to take the challenges each month! Lifting one of these layouts will be the very first prompt in each month’s portfolio, so we hope you’ll look for our newest set of challenges on May 1st, and get involved so you can begin earning 20, 30 or even 40% off in our Sweet Rewards!
Because we’re putting our TOTM feature to rest, we’ve decided to bring back all of Darcy’s Inspired by templates in the event you missed a set, and best of all they’ll be 25% off all month long. Once the month of May is gone though, that’s the last you’ll see of our Inspired by… series of templates, so be sure to grab the ones you want before they’re gone for good…
Changing up the content on our home page isn’t the only thing we’re doing, and I’m even more excited about the changes we have in store for you on the Sweet Shoppe Blog! For more than a year, we’ve brought you regular features like Penny Candy playdates and Take Out Tuesdays, but starting May 1st, we’re bringing you 365 days of Bliss on the Sweet Shoppe Blog. Digital Scrapbooking is about life, it’s about memories, it’s about people and we have an amazing team of brilliant women behind the scenes here at SSD, and all of them have incredible stories to tell. We want to share those stories and memories with you so that we become closer as a family here at the sweetest spot on the net, so tune in every day to read something new from one of our staffers! They’ll be sharing everything from recipes and craft projects to tutorials and pics from their latest family vacation, and every day will bring you something blissfully sweet to reflect on so don’t miss it.
Finally, I’m really excited to let you guys know that the fantastic Cindy Schneider is looking to add some amazing scrappers to her creative team. She’s having a little contest to find those talented template artists, so check out the details below and get those entries submitted soon…
