365 Days of Bliss – Day 13: 15 years

This year marks my 15th wedding anniversary! I made the decision that we would finally take a trip and getaway for a long weekend without the boys. So I started brainstorming. I thought maybe we could go here…

…and of course my husband laughed at me. So then I thought that’s fine. What about here?

Then my husband said I think we need to drive to our destination. In other words, no budget for a plane trip. So I thought of other places…Boston, New York, Vermont?  They all seemed so common and ho hum. Then it dawned on me, we can go here…

Montreal is only five hours away. It does involve the both of us getting passports, but I think we can swing that. The city offers history, nightlife and museums. It’s like going to a European country without the plane ride!

I’m sure it will be lovely in September. So now I’ll need to book a hotel and get the forms for passports. Very exciting! Before I did that though I had my little guy take a photo of me and my husband together. Then I dug out the wedding album and scanned in a photo. Here’s the resulting page…and I still love him even if he won’t spring for Paris!

I can’t wait to take photos on our trip and scrap them! Stay tuned!

  • This sounds so familiar. Your trip sounds wonderful.

  • Enjoy your trip! DH and I honeymooned in Montreal before heading to Camp Pendelton. We were married the first week of October and Montreal was beautiful and we had a blast!

  • Love this Celeste! But I’m dying to know what you plan to do in 35 years? Are you trading him in for a newer model? Because I want to know how to sign up for that plan!! LOL (kidding. totally kidding…sort of…). Lovely post! And also, can we reserve your spot now in the blog lineup for after your trip? I want to hear all about it!
