365 Days of Bliss – Day 27

Hey everyone! It’s Dana, and I’m here with my “365 Days of Bliss” post. When we were signing up for post spots, I volunteered to spotlight a fabulous challenge portfolio for the month – oh my – that was a mistake! LOL – I have just spent HOURS looking at all the amazing portfolios/layouts and I am at a loss for how to pick just ONE to spotlight! Seriously, some major inspiration in the portfolio thread – please go spend some time looking through it if you haven’t already!

Before I get to the spotlight, however, I will mention one thing I loved about signing up for this post … I have been out of the country for the last 8 days, so going through the portfolio pages was an amazing way to “catch up” a little with the gallery. I still need to go back and leave comments – but at least now I feel like I know what’s going on at SSD. It’s difficult to stay connected when you are on vacation – even when you have your computer with you! I spent a wonderful week in Paris with my husband .. it’s where we met and where we got engaged (he grew up in France and I lived there for several years). We haven’t been back in almost five years (i.e., since we had kids!) – so it was really wonderful to go back and see old friends. Also, one of our best friends was getting married and my DH was the best man. It was an AMAZING wedding weekend – we had such a good time! It was the perfect mix of people, activities, location … so, so much fun. And – so, so, so beautiful! The ceremony took place in a gorgeous church in the center of Paris and then we all headed to a chateau for dinner, dancing and more. I think I was up until 5am, easily! They had some really neat things planned for us – my favorite was the floating lanterns a la Tangled! SO COOL! I don’t have great pictures – but I did put together a little collage so you could get a feel for my weekend 🙂

Now, back to the portfolio! Before I tell you my very favorite portfolio for May, I want to show you a few individual LOs that really stood out to me …

This page by Sugi is gorgeous – and wow, the photo is amazing! And she did a great job of recoloring his shirt!

I had to smile when I saw this page by Mandy – because when I was young we had a turtle living in our backyard, and he would come knock on our door too!

I LOVE this rainbow picture! WOW – great photo by Amanda! and I love how she scrapped it too!

I’m LOVE the idea behind this page – and the different ampersand symbol Kim used – I’m totally scraplifting this!

Zora and Adrianka both have amazing portfolios that will really make you want to get your passport out and do some traveling!

Rachel had a lot of photoless pages in her portfolio this month – and i LOVED all of them. I thought this one was especially great – I love the design!

But overall, my favorite portfolio this month is Aaron’s. All the pages are wonderful – but I think that this one sealed the deal for me- I just LOVE it … all the different fonts and word art – fab!

Thanks everyone for sharing your wonderful pages with us – it was truly inspirational to look through them all!
