It’s Keely saying “Happy Day people!” from hot, hot Texas.

My original topic was sidelined by technical difficulties (my poor, poor laptop Betty is headed back to the factory as I clickity click , all my crossables are crossed for a good outcome).  Soooo here’s my plan b,  I’m just going to share a few random things that I like right now.

Things like jalapeno stuffed olives and zesty dill pickle spears.  That’s my snack of choice right now. When the jars are empty I drink the juice , which really grosses my husband out.

Stuff You Missed In History Class

I can’t deny my nerdy streak and The Stuff You Missed In History Class is a podcast, both entertaining and educational. This is one of the few things I can get everyone in the family to listen to and everyone enjoys it.

I have kind of a weird thing about office/school supplies. This elephant paper clip holder makes me smile.

I just got a Kindle for my birthday. I had zero desire for an e-reader for  a long time. I love to read, but not on a computer, I like paper and typeset and book covers. I am a convert though. Oh how I love this sucker! I love the cover with the built in light too, perfect for reading in bed.

I gave up on American Idol, when The Voice started I didn’t have high expectations. I was just going to watch the first show or two. It’s been a pleasant surprise, the contestants are all talented, and all participants come across as pretty decent, likeable people.  Good entertainment. And Adam Levine is hot.

Groupon and Living Social.

I’m pretty sure at this point there are a bazillion of these sites in existence. These are two that I’ve used repeatedly with good success.  I love a bargain, we’ve gotten great deals on museum memberships, movie tickets, bowling and roller skating.  We’ve used a few restaurant and shopping deals too.

I don’t like to cook, it’s no secret. I do however have to feed my family and since I can cook,  I lean towards easy, healthy fare. This is one of my favorite sites to peruse recipes, family fare that’s good and good for you,  and there are always lovely pictures too.

Have I mentioned how freakin’ hot it’s been? This is one of my favorite treats for chilling, Sonic (diet) Cherry Limeade. I’m personally not a big fan of the food but I’m all over Sonic Happy Hour and a huge Cherry Limeade. YUM over the most awesome ice.
