365 Days of Bliss: Biorhythms

Sheri here with today’s edition of 365 Days of Bliss.  Recently, someone asked me if I kept up with my biorhythms and I had actually never heard of biorhythms, so that prompted me to look into them a little more.  Perhaps there is something to them … or not.  I’ll let you be the judge.

According to believers in biorhythms, a person’s life is affected by rhythmic biological cycles which affect one’s ability in various domains, such as mental, physical, and emotional activity. These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a wave fashion throughout life; thus, by modeling them mathematically, a person’s level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day.

Here are the basics of biorhythm details.  There are three main cycle types; physical, emotional and intellectual.

  • Physical cycle
    • 23 days; Circavigintan
    • coordination
    • strength
    • well-being
  • Emotional cycle
    • 28 days; Circatrigintan
    • creativity
    • sensitivity
    • mood
    • perception
    • awareness
  • Intellectual cycle
    • 33 days; Circatrigintan
    • alertness
    • analytical functioning
    • logical analysis
    • memory or recall
    • communication
