Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hello Everyone! It’s Dana here … kicking off a new week with a new 365 Days of Bliss post 🙂 I hope you all had fabulous weekends! We had a lot of fun – on Saturday some of our friends took us out on a boat ride in Boston Harbor and then some friends from Paris arrived at our house yesterday for weeklong visit. Fun!

Speaking of fun – I thought that a nice idea for a post today would be to share a few of our family’s favorite games. My oldest daughter, Audrey, is now at the age where she LOVES to play games with us. We do a lot of the classics – Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Hi Ho Cherry O .. but I’ve also found a few new-to-us games that we are really enjoying:

Zingo is a fun Bingo-type game – and BOTH my girls (even the two year old) enjoy playing this!

My daughter is not really old enough to play Qwirkle exactly by the rules – but we come pretty close! And sometimes we just make up our own rules 😉

Blokus is my personal favorite! I think this game is just as fun and challenging for adults as it is for kids! And my daughter does surprisingly well at placing the pieces correctly (“corner to corner”) – I was really proud of her when she figured that out!

I have to throw these two (here and here) in – we don’t personally have these yet – but my nephew LOVES them – he will play these by himself for hours! It’s really impressive to watch him!

Also – I’m now inspired to scrap about our favorite games – I’m going to use this kit by Misty and Jenn … it will be perfect!

Also – I was lucky enough to get to pick the Layout of the Week this week! There were sooooo many fabulous LOs to look at this week – but I couldn’t resist choosing this gorgeous one, Summer Nights, by mummytothree. I LOVE the blocking design (I am always drawn to that) – and especially love the rounded edges of the blocks which make them just a little bit different. Also – even with the simple blocking design, she was able to rock some GORGEOUS clusters! LOOOOVE it!! I’m going to be scraplifting this soon for sure! Congrats!!
