365 Days Of Bliss – My Other Loves
Heather here, catching up from being on vacation and finishing up my A Week In the Life layouts. It was fun doing the project while on vacation and I’ve really enjoyed seeing the pages in the gallery and on the forum. If you haven’t seen them yet, be sure to check out this thread which has many of the completed layouts. While doing my layouts, I noticed that I had a lot of pictures from our daily hikes. It reminded me of my other love besides photography and digiscrapping. I have a love for babywearing. It started out when I had Moriah. I was given a wrap as a shower gift but I was too afraid to use it. I honestly didn’t know how, so I bought an awesome DVD that showed me how I could use my wrap in several different ways. This DVD started my addiction love of baby carriers. Moriah loved it and she no longer was fussy all the time. We later found out that she had silent reflux, so that position was the only comfortable position for her to be in. I went everywhere with her in a carrier and I got carriers to match my outfits. I love them so much that I consider them a must have for every mama of newborns. I loved not having to lug around a stroller or carry around the bucket carseat which can be so heavy and awkward. I became a huge advocate for the benefits of babywearing. I tried some strollers but never really liked anything until I found the Mountain Buggy. Living near nice trails I wanted something that would be comfortable for us. The Mountain Buggy has wheels made for trails and it was such a smooth and easy ride compared to our other stroller. When it was just Moriah and I, I would just put her up on my back in a carrier, but after I had Isaac I wanted to get back into running and knew I needed a double stroller. So we forked out the bucks for a Mountain Buggy and it’s been pure love since it was delivered. I never knew how much I’d really love it though until I was pregnant with Asher and we were on our yearly trip to Northwoods, Wisconsin. Those trails are completely different than my gravel/paved/flat trails around here. Mark and I AND the stroller got major workouts on those trails, even the handicapped trail. We had finally confirmed that our money was well spent. I was so excited this year to go on the trails because with three kids now I had to combine my two loves… my stroller and my carriers. I loved that we could go during Asher’s morning nap and he would just fall asleep on my back while I was huffin’ it on the trails. I loved that my hands were free to take pictures during the week, especially since I was doing A Week In The Life, and I loved that my whole family could join me every day for my workout. My carriers and my stroller have become my must haves, not just for vacation but also for everyday living. We used them for so much more than just our daily hikes while on vacation, here’s a glimpse of our vacation in carriers and stroller.

LOTW
It’s also Monday which means it’s time for LOTW! This is my first time doing this and let me tell you… it’s HARD!!! There is so much talent here and I really loved browsing the gallery all week and ooohing and aaaahing over all of them. I chose this one because I love that she had so much fun with this portfolio challenge. It turned out AWESOME!!! I’ve also been loving the favorites and list type layouts so this one really stood out to me.
