365 Days of Bliss – We Love Taylor Swift

Is it here yet? When is going to September? When do I get to see Taylor Swift? How many days left until the concert? That’s what I get for giving my girls Taylor Swift tickets for Christmas – almost a full year of torture. The girls thought the date would never arrive. We had a blast shopping for oufits….it was sparkles all the way. I don’t know why my girls rolled their eyes when I suggested mataching clothes! Come on – make your mother happy!

We left pretty early so we could check in to hotel, make some posters, and eat dinner. These girls have been friends since kindergarten so it was fun to watch them so full of excitement!!

We have photos of all the moms holding the signs too…..but I think my friends would run me over if I posted it.

Covergirl cosmetics has a genious marketing team! They had free makeovers for every girl. Eye shadow, mascara, blush, and lipstick. They spent at least five minutes making over every girl and then gave her a card which listed the makeup they used. On the way out they got a photo in front of a Taylor Swift billboard and a free lipstick!! My girls now freak over Covergirl makeup. When I was little my grandmother gave my first first Estee Lauder lipstick (actually I think I begged to have it). I didn’t use another brand of makeup until I was 40. Good job Covergirl. Give them their first lipstick and you’ll have customers for life.
This is Elyse (my 11 year old) getting her makeover.

This is Faith (my 7 year old) getting makeup. Faith really needed the makeover. She’d been letting herself go. Kidding!!! Actually I asked them to just give her a little bit of shimmer on her eyes.

I don’t know where those Mike & Ikes came from. What type of person sneaks $100 worth of candy and soda into a concert?

This is a picture of the girls in the morning wearing their new Taylor Swift t-shirts!! My daughter told me it was the best night of her life……she’s still smiling ear to ear!

Hope your days are filled with bliss! I’m now off to scrap these photos. Love, Kjersti

  • I took my daughter to Taylor’s opening weekend concert in Omaha Memorial Day weekend for her 10th birthday. It was an awesome concert, and she still talks about it!

Looks like you had fun too!

  • Oooooh I’m so happy for them–and jealous! I didn’t get to go to her concert when she was here. How awesome is it that they got makeovers?? And your daughters are gorgeous! (Incidentally I laughed out loud at your run over comment :D)
