Operation Organization

Happy new year! This is Aly, and I am determined that 2012 will be a wonderful year. For me, the new year makes my mind spin with all of the possibilities. It is like a brand new start… a clean slate. One of the major things I think about in my head constantly is organization. Seriously… I think about it way more than I actually do it! So I have decided this is the year. I put together a layout of my organization steps using Home Sweet Home by Jenn Barrette.

So, today I am going to take charge of my life.  Here is my simple (haha) list I want to complete this year:

1. Organize my photos in Lightroom

2. Organize my unfinished albums and finish them

3. Organize and declutter all of  the rooms in my home

4. Organize my thoughts and studies

5. Organize my computer files

6. Organize my finances, and keep them organized

What are some organizing goals or areas you are tackling this year? I honestly love thinking about organizing, and the feeling that comes from being organized. Now to put the plans into action. Start working on something today!

  • Love these goals, and that AMAZING layout, Aly!! One of my big organizing goals this year is to scan all our paper files, get them organized on the computer, and SHRED all that paper! It is sooo freeing to get rid of all that paper! I also want to print a whole bunch of layouts and get them in albums finally.

  • This is EXACTLY what I have been doing. It just feels good to declutter your home. I have actually been finding things I had thought long lost and gaining more space in the process. It also helps me sit down guilt free when I want to scrap/FB etc.

  • Sigh…this has been my resolution for many years and, thus far, has not been accomplished as I would like. This year, I have resolved, once again, to get organized…starting with my computer.
