Scrapbook Weekend in Tahoe!

Hello!  It’s Kjersti here posting from snowy Lake Tahoe, California after surviving the snow capped mountain of Donner Pass. What should have been a three hour “over the river and through the woods” took us 7 1/2 hours – good thing I have a four wheel drive.  Fortunately we packed an arsenal of Muddy Buddies but unfortunately we turned to cannibalism and ate all of our buddies!   May God have mercy on their chocolately souls.

There are ten determined scrapbooking divas which means there are eighteen children under the “supervision” of their fathers!!  Aka…there are eighteen near death experiences happening at home right now!  In fact, one child was left at Chuck E. Cheeses!!  Another child has already tattle taled on her father for buying a Kindle fire…..and my kids are at home spraying coolwhip directly into their mouths!

I managed to pry the girls away from their sewing machines, computers, scanners and glitter for a quick photo out in the snow!  So far we’ve made a total of 91 paper layouts, 14 digital layouts, scanned 730 photos, watched 3 movies, and eaten a five pound bag of M&M’s.

Here we are working on out projects!  For every layout you make (either digital or paper) you get to put your name in a hat.  Every hour a name gets drawn out of the hat to win a prize!  If they had chcolate as a prize I think I’d scrap a little faster.

I’m off to create more memories, watch a movie, and hang out with my cousins!

  • That looks so fun, Kjersti! I would love to get away with some of my scrappy friends!

  • That looks like so much fun! Sadly, I have almost no friends who scrapbook, digital or otherwise, though I am frequently trying to find friends who might enjoy trying it out!!
